The newest iteration of Sega’s popular Football Manager game is all set to hit the shelves and players are overjoyed to get their hands on it. This latest installment brings several new features, such as upgrades to set pieces, player management, squad building, matchday changes, and much more. All of these overhauls supposedly make it the most complete edition of a Football Manager game to date. 

Apart from core gameplay elements, there are also improvements to the game’s visuals starting with lighting and pitch textures. There are also refinements made to player movements and ball physics along with better transfer markets, agents, and other deeper gameplay upgrades. Does Football Manager 2024 Have Early Access?

Players who purchased the PC and macOS versions of the game through Steam or the Epic Games Store have been able to access the game since 19th October. Unfortunately, this offer is not available to consoles and mobile players and they will have to wait until the official release date of 6th November.

What Are All the New Features Making Their Way to Football Manager 2024?

As mentioned earlier, this new installment will bring a host of new features such as:

  • Improved Lighting and Pitch Textures: Match days will now look more crispier and more immersive thanks to increased lighting and textures. There have also been improvements to the color grading which means you can now notice the time of the day and weather conditions more accurately.

  • Smart Transfers and Finances: Improved AI for better decision-making when it comes to recruitment and finance. Prioritizes young players and revamps in-game financial systems.

  • Financial Fair Play (FFP): FFP now contains new rules such as the inclusion of sanctions like squad size restrictions, transfer spending restrictions, fines, and withholding competition incomes.

  • Individual Performance: Coaches can now set specific performance targets for each player allowing for improved efficiency among the players.

  • Improved Interaction Logic: Revamped interaction makes for more logical and interesting conversations among players and agents.

  • New Game Modes: This complete edition brings three new gamer modes; Original, Real World, and Your World.

  • Specialized Set Pieces: The game brings a new set piece creator powered by Set Piece Coaches who will craft perfect routines. You can choose between three different attacking set pieces such as Far Post which will deliver the ball to the back of the penalty area. Central will deliver it around the penalty spot and Near Post will deliver the ball in front of the penalty area.

  • Inverted Full-Back: A new player role that will allow players to dynamically rotate or change positions, thanks to the new positional play updates. This greatly improves tactical flexibility.

Does Football Manager 2024 Support Crossplay?

Yes, the upcoming Football Manager 2024 supports crossplay but it is only available across the console versions, meaning Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5 users can compete among themselves. Although the PC and Console versions are now closer than ever, PC users cannot join the same lobby as they are still running on different versions.
