The first international Valorant tournament of the year is right around the corner, Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) Masters Madrid 2024, featuring a total prize pool of $500,000 USD and all set to witness top-tier action from 14^th to 24^th March 2024 between some of the best teams in the world.

Eight participants will be competing in this event, having qualified by placing top two in their respective regions, two each from Americas, EMEA, Pacific, and China.

These teams will be flying to Madrid, Spain to raise the trophy and claim the championship in front of a live audience at Madrid Arena, an indoor stadium with a maximum seating capacity of 12,000 spectators.

VCT Masters Madrid 2024: Format

Swiss Stage

• The eight teams will battle it out in a single bracket following the Swiss System format.

• Every match will be a best-of-three series.

• The opening matches have been set up between regional Kickoff winners and runner-ups from regions other than theirs.

• Teams need to collect three wins before three defeats in order to qualify.

• The top four teams will advance to Playoffs.

Playoffs

• The four qualifying teams will face each other in a double-elimination bracket.

• The opening matches will be based on a random draw by the organizers.

• All matches will be best-of-three except for Lower Bracket Final and Grand Final which will feature best-of-five series.

The tournament features a total prize pool of $500,000 which will be split between all eight competing teams on the basis of their final placement, the higher a team places more cut they get to pocket.
