VCT 2023 Pacific LCQ: DFM Finishes VCT 2023 Season Without a Single Win
A complete revamp or more practice with the same lineup?
Not all records are worth celebrating, DetonatioN FocusMe (DFM) will surely try to redeem itself in the next competitive season as it finishes its journey in the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) 2023 without a single series win under its belt.
This comes after Talon Esports handed the team a clean 2-0 loss in the opening match of the VCT 2023 Pacific Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) which took place on 18th July at the Sangam Colosseum in Seoul, South Korea.
DFM is the only Valroant team across the VCT 2023 circuit whose journey came to an end without a single-match win across all the regional and international tournaments.
DetonatioN FocusMe Goes Winless in the VCT 2023 Circuit
DFM was among the first teams eliminated from the VCT 2023: LOCK//IN São Paulo, following a 2-0 defeat against Giants in the Round of 32 on 14th February.
The team proceeded to attend the regional VCT 2023 Pacific League where it played nine matches during the regular season, but did not manage to win a single match, losing against every other franchised team from the Pacific region.
Having attained the last spot, DFM was seeded against Talon Esports in the Upper Bracket Round 1 of the VCT 2023 Pacific LCQ. Unfortunately, the Japanese organization was unable to turn its fate around and conceded yet another loss.
With this, DFM became the first and only franchised Valroant team, till now, to end an entire season without a single series win.

The players were disappointed and expressed themselves publicly on Twitter.
Seo "Suggest" Jae-young simply accepted the truth and said that he is preparing for the next competitive season.
Yoshitaka "Anthem" Enomoto was quite frustrated with the fact that they ended the season with zero wins but was thankful for all the support they received.
Park "Seoldam" Sang-min was also disappointed and said that they could do nothing this season.
Shogo "takej" Takemori simply paid respect to the opponents and thanked the crowd for encouraging them through the season.
It will be interesting to see what DetonatioN FocusMe as an organization decides to do during the down time. Will they scrap this lineup and build something new from scratch, just move a few players around, or simply put in more work by sticking together as a unit?
