Ahead of the official announcement and release of Apex Legends Season 14, it seems like the game’s developers have accidentally leaked details about the new season and new legend Vantage. In March, data miners and leakers revealed that the next legend in Apex Legends would be Vantage who has a hunter, scout-style kit. Notably, on 22nd July, Apex Legends shared a series of diary entries written by a child with the caption: “You've got to keep yourself busy when you're one of the only two people on the planet.”
Additionally, more leaks suggested that the theme for Season 14 would be revolving around the concepts of Hunter-Predator, with most of the action taking place around the Storm Point map, the basis for young Bloodhound’s story. An accidental leak by developers of Respawn Entertainment could be confirming most of these leaks.
Apex Legends developers leak details about Season 14
It looks like the Apex Legends developers jumped the gun and leaked information about new legend Vantage and Season 14 well ahead of the actual release. The season is expected to go live on 9th August but the community has gotten a clear idea of what to expect when they open their clients on launch day.
One Reddit user was shocked to see a pop-up about Vantage and the theme of Season 14 when they opened the Apex Legends client. They wrote, “This one just show[ed up] on Apex.”
Some players who booted up the game on 23rd July were reportedly welcomed by the in-game version of the new legend Vantage and also a detailed description of the upcoming season. After looking at the new leak from the devs, fans are pointing out that this version of Vantage looks detailed and that the earlier leaked model could have been a placeholder that had very low textures.
The pop-up message with Vantage’s image read, “There’s a new installment of the Stories from the Outlands! Watch Survive and meet the new Legend joining the Games in Apex Legends: Hunted, coming August 9.”
Another major takeaway from this accidental leak by Respawn Entertainment is the name of the new season. From the pop-up message, it is evident that Season 14 of Apex Legends will be called “Hunted”
Respawn Entertainment may have accidentally shared bread crumbs about Apex Legends Season 14 but it is highly unlikely for the publisher to prepone the release date. However, since most of the information is already out in the public, fans and players can expect to see more official news in the coming days.
