Apex Legends: Saviors is coming to an end and Season 14 is just around the corner. Season 13 of Apex Legends introduced changes to Storm Point, the ranked system, and more importantly new legend Newcastle entered the battle royale. Apex Legends players are truly excited to see what’s in store for the upcoming season and have already been given a taste of some spicy leaks.
One of the major leaks surrounds the next possible legend Vantage, whose hunter and scout-style kit was revealed in March.
Did Apex Legends tease the new legend?
On 22nd July, Apex Legends took to Twitter to post a series of photos of what seemed to be diary entries written by a child. It tweeted, “You've got to keep yourself busy when you're one of the only two people on the planet.”
There are six entries that span four images and they get progressively shorter. The last entry read, “Wish I had some friends or something instead of talking to my gun,” and it also had a detailed drawing of a sniper rifle, which could be a hint to Vantage’s sniper.
Fans and players are already making the link between this tease and the leaked information about the next legend Vantage. According to leakers and data miners, Vantage’s ultimate ability is called Mark to Kill.
Ultimate: Mark to Kill – A custom rifle that scans enemies and boosts damage for Vantage and her squad. Damage doubles for Vantage on successive shots. The team gets a 15% bonus on marked targets.
As a recon legend, Vantage’s ability kit and the leaked model resemble a hunter, and data miners have also found out that Season 14 will reportedly revolve around a hunter-safari theme.
Is Bloodhound related to Vantage, the new legend?
Fans also speculate that Vantage and Bloodhound could be related and there is a pattern in Apex Legends where most of the legends are related or connected to one another in some way. The only other hunter in the game is Bloodhound and currently, they are the only legend from the land of Talos. It could very well be that Respawn Entertainment is trying to add another legend who also hails from Talos.
The theme for Season 14 is supposedly going to be Hunter-Predator with most of the action taking place around the Storm Point map, the basis for young Bloodhound’s story. This is all the more reason for fans to believe that the two legends could be related.
With Apex Legends Season 14 expected to go live on 8th August, players can expect to see more information and teasers from Apex Legends about the upcoming legend. We need to look at the information about the new legend Vantage with a pinch of salt since all we have right now are leaks and Respawn has neither confirmed nor denied anything.
