Valorant Patch 7.04: New Map Sunset, Agent Nerfs, Breeze Returns, Premier Launch
This update packs a punch.
Valorant Patch 7.04 is the next big update for the game and it has rolled out along with Episode 7 Act 2 on 29th August. It is about to introduce a plethora of changes to the game which includes more than half the Agents getting nerfed, Breeze making a comeback with some changes, new map Sunset entering gameplay, official release of the Valorant Premier Launch Stage, and more.
Apart from this, a new content drop is also arriving in the form of Episode 7 Act 2 Battlepass, bringing new weapons skins and cosmetic items along with it for community members to enjoy.
Valorant Patch Notes 7.04 - Complete Details
Valorant drops a good number of updates, changes, and additions with every new Act. Last time the community was introduced to a new Agent called Deadlock, this time they received a new map called Sunset.
The new map is set in Riot's hometown, Los Angeles, complete with iconic locations and graffiti that are made in collaboration with actual artists.
Valorant Patch 7.04: Agent Updates
A total of 11 Valorant Agents have undergone balance changes - Breach, Brimstone, Fade, Gekko, Killjoy, Omen, Skye, Sova, Viper, Astra, and Jett.

Thrash’s explosion has undergone a little makeover to make it easier to visualize the affected area.

Valorant Patch 7.04: Map Updates
A new map called Sunset has been released for Valorant, featuring three lanes and two sites. Breeze has been brought back into both the Competitive and Unrated map pool and in return, two maps have been removed - Fracture and Pearl.
Sunset
The map will initially be available only in Swiftplay game mode for about a week's time, after which it will be introduced to Competitive and Unrated matchmaking along with Valorant Patch 7.05.
Breeze
While the scale and size of the map is unchanged, it has been made easier to rotate between the two sites.
Adjusted Mid Pillar
One side of the pillar has been closed off and boxes have been added.
Adjusted B Site
Boxes have been added and parts of the wall around B Site have been removed and added.
Boxes have been added and the stairs have been removed and walled off.
Blocked A Hall
Part of the hall has been walled off with a fence.
Adjusted Mid Doors
Boxes have been added and door has been opened fully.
Closed A Cave and Adjusted A Shop
Interior has been widened and boxes have been added.
Entrance and interior have been widened.
Adjusted A Pyramids and Added Signage for Callouts
Pyramids have been made taller.
Valorant Patch 7.04: Player Behavior Updates
UI Improvements
Increased readability by adding icons and showing detailed text descriptions when hovering over each of the newly added icons.
Categorized the list of post-game reports into groups to help break down decision-making from high-level category to subcategories.
Added reportee info in order to reduce false reporting.
Valorant Patch 7.04: Premier Launch Stage
If you played in Premier’s Ignition Stage, your team and match history will carry over.
Enrollment runs till 7th September. The exact time for the end of Enrollment varies by Zone, so make sure to check the schedule in the client for more information so you don’t miss it.
Weekly matches will feature the full competitive map pool across seven weeks. Each week will still have one dedicated map and a maximum of two matches on said map. Matches start on 7th September and run through 21st October, with Playoffs on 22nd October.
Earn a Premier Score of at least 675 to qualify and to have a chance to be crowned one of the best teams in your Division.
Performance will now be tracked from Stage to Stage. You will receive a Division crest at the end of each Stage.
Divisions will be split into five tiers: Open, Intermediate, Advanced, Elite, and Contender.
Valorant Patch 7.04: Bug Fixes
Agent
Fixed an issue where Sage’s Barrier Orb (C) can break when being placed in between doors such as C Garage on Haven.
Gameplay Systems
Fixed a bug where being killed on Fracture’s ziplines would make your Agent’s body appear in Spawn.
Player Behaviour
Fixed a bug where pushing the play button on your keyboard caused voice to transmit despite having different keybinds set or none at all.
Premier Launch Stage
If a match goes into overtime and results in sudden death, the end of game timeline now displays the sudden death round correctly.
These are all the changes that were introduced to Valorant along with the latest Patch 7.04 which also marks the arrival of Episode 7 Act 2.
It will be interesting to see matches being played on Sunset and Breeze, while teams and players try to figure out the new meta with the barrage of Agent nerfs.
