Valorant is ready to enter a new season of action and excitement on 10th January 2024 with the release of Episode 8 Act 1 Battlepass, which will consist of new cosmetics for everyone to enjoy.

The next few weeks are going to be grind o'clock for most players as they will be scurrying to finish the current Episode 7 Act 3 Battlepass while simultaneously looking forward to the next one.

Here are details about all the upcoming weapon skins that will be released with the Episode 8 Act 1 Battlepass along with information about their designs, variants, and more.

As usual, the next battlepass will consist of two different tiers, a free tier consisting of a lower number of rewards and a paid tier offering a whole lot more for the players to enjoy.

A few weeks ahead of Episode 8 Act 1's scheduled release date some information has been leaked by dataminers which includes details about the three skinlines which will be a part of it.

  1. Fiber Optic Skinline

  2. Guardrail Skinline

  3. Tactiplay Skinline

Fiber Optic Skinline

This will be one of the three weapon skin collections that is being released on 10th January 2024 as part of Episode 8 Act 1. It will consist of skins for four weapons including Classic, Ghost, Marshal, and Spectre.

There is nothing fancy or striking about the design aspect of this skinline which gives a very chromium feel and will be available in four different color variants - Turquoise, Silver, Gold, and Emerald.

  1. Fibre Optic Classic

  2. Fibre Optic Ghost

  3. Fibre Optic Marshal

  4. Fibre Optic Spectre

Guardrail Skinline

This will be one of the three weapon skin collections that are part of Episode 8 Act 1 and will be released on 10th January 2024. It will consist of skins for four weapons including Frenzy, Shorty, Guardian, Vandal, and a special melee in the shape of a splitting maul.

The design pattern is not too exquisite with the weapons being draped in golden outlines that accentuate certain parts of the matte black body. There is also a hint of red within the weapon in the form of a capsule or something.

  2. Guardrail Shorty

  3. Guardrail Guardian

  4. Guardrail Vandal

Across the three skinlines there is only one melee weapon that is part of this particular collection and it is shaped like a splitting maul, which has an axe blade on one end and a hammer head on the other.

Unlike the weapons, the color theme and design suit this melee well and it looks quite good.

  1. Guardrail Hammer

Tactiplay Skinline

This is one of the three weapon skin collections that will be a part of Episode 8 Act 1 which will be released on 10th January 2024. It will consist of skins for four weapons including Phantom, Bulldog, Stinger, and Odin.

The skin design of this collection is quirky with a mix of deep purple and neon green. It might not be digestible for most players and has a very toy-like feel to it. There is also a picture of four 'easter egg' soft toys on each weapon.

  1. Tactiplay Phantom

  2. Tactiplay Bulldog

  3. Tactiplay Stinger

  4. Tactiplay Odin

These are the three weapon skin collections that will be released next year and the public reaction to the leaks have not been the best.

While the powerful-looking melee has melted a few hearts, the same cannot be said for the weapons, especially the last one which has been mocked as a poor rework of the BlastX Collection, which was released on 23rd December 2020.

Some of these weapon skins will be available as part of the free tier but most will be locked and accessible to only those players who purchase the Episode 8 Act 1 Battlepass.
