The new Valorant cinematic for Episode 6 was action-packed and showed agents from both the Alpha and the Omega Earth.
The biggest news is that Riot Games dropped clues about the new map and its location.
It is speculated that the new map, or the City of Flowers, is actually called Lotus and it reportedly has three sites.

On 5th December, Riot Games unveiled a new cinematic titled “Revelation” for the upcoming Episode 6 in Valorant and also dropped hints about the new map and its location in the game. The latest map which is reportedly named Lotus was featured in the cinematic as new Indian agent Harbor and Astra walked through a dense jungle to reach the location. The map is adorned by big lotus flower, bright in pink, and also resembles an ancient temple. The end of the video not only reveals Lotus in its full glory but also shows Harbor and Astra running into the other agents from the Omega Earth.

Where in India are Harbor and Astra in the Valorant cinematic?

As the cinematic opened, we were immediately informed that the location is indeed in India and the text on the screen stated it was the Western Ghats to be exact. The Western Ghats is a mountain range that runs parallel to the western coast of the Indian peninsula. It traverses the states of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Goa. Notably, this is not the first time that Riot Games has brought up Western Ghats. In November 2022, Riot Games posted an illustration of Skye and Harbor eating roadside delicacies and wrote, “Nothing tastes better than some roadside noodles after a day of hiking in the Western Ghats. Harbor swears by it.

After making their way through the dense forest and crossing chasms, Astra and Harbor reach an ancient temple-like building with a huge door that is locked. Harbor uses his gauntlet to open it but both of them are pushed off and fall into the water. As they get back up and enter the Lotus, they are faced with the Valorant agents from the Omega Earth including Fade, Jett, Killjoy, Raze, and Sage.

Notably, in the 5.08 Public Beta Environment [PBE] patch in the game, players identified audio tapes hinting at the release of a new map. The easter egg hidden in Cypher’s office also talked about a “City of Flowers” and this is most likely Lotus, the map situated in the Western Ghats, India. Astra and Harbor talked about the City of Flowers that was destroyed on Alpha Earth and discussed how it could still be intact on Omega Earth, the parallel universe of our heroes in Valorant.

Glimpses of Lotus structure in the cinematic

The new Valorant cinematic captures different actions taking place in different places of the world. Sage and Omen are in the Valorant headquarters. Raze, Killjoy, and Jett are in Korea. Fade is in Turkey, and Astra and Harbor are in India. Fade can be seen in a nightclub and she extracts information about Lotus from a random man’s phone and sneaks away. As she looks at the phone, we can catch a glimpse of how the new Indian map is structured and it is evident that it has three sites.

All in all, players should be getting more information about the map very soon. We will update this article once Riot Games officially confirms the new map, its name and its structure.
