New “City of Flowers” Map Could be Coming to Valorant

Valorant’s newest Public Beta Environment (5.08) just launched and there are hidden audio tapes hinting at the release of a new map. The easter egg hidden in Cypher’s office talks about a “City of Flowers” which is likely to be the next map in Valorant. We hear Astra and the game’s newest agent Harbor talk about the City of Flowers that was destroyed in Alpha Earth, but could still be intact in Omega Earth, the parallel universe of our heroes in Valorant.

In the hidden recording, we hear Habor and Astra talk about an artifact. Astra was able to decipher the script of the “Guardians” partially and figured out the meaning of some of the words. The artifact has something to do with a Guardian, a flower, gifts, and a key.

She brings up Nexus, which is a city built by the Guardians. While Alpha Earth’s agents do not know what key is supposed to unlock the Nexus, Omega Earth’s Legion might be able to uncover the secrets. Valorant’s lore is getting a lot of focus from the writers at Valorant and we can expect to find out more about the mirror universe and the mysterious agents soon.

During Astra and Harbor’s discussion, Harbor brings up the City of Flowers and says that it could still be intact on Omega Earth and it could have the answers the agents need to unlock the Nexus. It has been a few months since the release of Pearl and we are likely to get another map before the year ends.

The earliest expected release date for the City of Flowers would be after Valorant Episode 5 Act III ends, or around early 2023. As we get closer to the release of the new map we can expect more teasers to show up leading up to the launch of the new map.

The next major content update is Valorant Episode 5 Act III which releases on 18th October along with a new battle pass, new skins, and of course, Harbor. He is the first agent from India and the lore around him suggests that he may be instrumental in uncovering the secrets of Omega Earth and possibly other parallel universes.
