Upthrust Esports to Feature in Shark Tank India
A huge reason to celebrate for the Indian gaming community.
Upthrust Esports, an Indian esports tournament organizer and gaming company, will be featured in the latest episode of Shark Tank India which is scheduled to air tonight on 7th February at 22:00 (IST) across Sony LIV and Sony Entertainment Television.
Upthrust Esports will be delivering its business pitch on one of the biggest available platforms within the country, stepping in front of an experienced panel of investors consisting of top Indian business persons.
In the promo released by Shark Tank India for the coming week, a glimpse of Upthrust Esports can be seen with Kartik Sabherwal (Founder and Managing Director) and Vaibhav Rathore (Head of Business Development) together delivering a pitch of INR 75,00,000 ($90,664 USD) for 3% equity.

Shark Tank India is a business reality television series that is the Indian franchise of the original American show, Shark Tank. It airs on Sony Entertainment Television in Hindi language, where selected entrepreneurs present their business to a panel of potential investors, referred to as sharks, who decide whether they want to invest in a company.
Following the success of its first season, the show has returned with Season 2 and Upthrust Esports is about to feature as one of the businesses later tonight.

Most of the details about the episode and business pitch by Upthrust Esports is still not known, but based on the short weekly precap released by Shark Tank India a few details have been made public knowledge.
Upthrust Esports will be represented by Kartik Sabherwal and Vaibhav Rathore.
Kartik is the founder and managing director of Upthrust Esports. Following the launch of the trailer he said, "So happy and proud to represent our Indian Gaming Community on National Television for the very first time in Indian Gaming History!"
Vaibhav is the head of partnerships for Upthrust Esports, and apart from this he is also involved with Team Celtz and Echo Updates.
In a statement obtained via press release, Vaibhav said "It’s hard to change the traditional mindset of parents and their misconception about gaming. We went on Shark Tank India to make parents aware of esports and how this could be a viable career option as well."
Upthrust Esports has apparently made a pitch of INR 75,00,000 for 3% equity which means the overall value of the company is estimated to be about INR 25,00,00,000 ($3,023,358 USD).
This is the first time ever in the history of Indian gaming and esports that a company has gone on to feature like this across both national television and media streaming platforms.
