M80, since its inception at the end of 2022, has seen a lot of successes across different esports titles. Its Rainbow Six: Siege team recently qualified for the Blast R6 Major Atlanta after a second-place finish at the $2 Million USD Gamers8 tournament which took place in July. Additionally, M80's Counter-Strike roster is slated to compete in the $500,000 USD Thunderpick World Championship in November 2023.

Apart from that, the organization also fields rosters in other major esports titles including Riot Games' first-person hero shooter, Valorant, Street Fighter and Rocket League.

Daniil Medvedev can be regularly spotted on the Rainbow Six: Siege ranked ladder between world-class tennis tournaments. He has also been a part of the game's Ambassador program since August 2023.

M80 stated that Daniil Medvedev will lean on his experience to help shape its world championship-caliber Rainbow Six: Siege roster and its other esports programs. He will also actively work to incorporate traditional sports psychology to give teams an edge in game.

Commenting on this exciting new venture, according to a press release from M80, Medvedev said, "As an avid gamer and competitor, joining M80 gives me the opportunity to blend my experience. Just as in tennis, success in esports demands mental resilience and dedication."

He added that M80 Co-founder and CEO Marco Mereu and the team have created one of the world’s most exciting esports brands, and that he is very much looking forward to contributing to the growth of the organization and engaging with fans.

CEO Mereu commented, "As we continue building world-class esports teams, Daniil joining M80 supercharges our vision. Daniil is a leader on the court and in game, and brings his competitive drive and commitment to excellence that will be the bedrock for our current and future programs.”
