While Call of Duty: Warzone debuted its fourth season in mid-July, fans are already looking forward to what's coming in Season 5. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone Season 5 will celebrate artists like Snoop Dogg, Nicki Minaj and 21 Savage. Activision announced a road map for the next season with a blog post detailing other features coming in as well. Content including music tracks, weapon blueprints and operator bundles for all three rappers. Activision released a launch trailer, giving players a hint of what’s to come. Season 5 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty: Warzone will launch on 2nd August at 9 AM PT (9:30 PM IST) across all platforms. The season’s theme is 50 years of hip-hop celebration which includes free content and special Bundles available throughout Season 5. Players can also claim free war track packs by simply logging into the game between 7th and 16th August. You will need to go online in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone on four separate days. The first three days will grant a War Track from the ’80s (Foundation), ’90s (Golden Era), or 2000s (Life After Y2K). On the fourth day of logging in, you will receive a special Weapon Blueprint that can be used in any online mode. Players will automatically be granted these items upon log-in – check your inventory after logging in to see your new gifts.
In addition, three more Operators are arriving during Season 05 to celebrate over five decades of hip hop culture. Snoop Dogg and Nicki Minaj shall be coming to Call of Duty: MW 2 & Warzone Season 5 along with 21 Savage later in the season.
The Snoop Dogg Operator Bundle and Nicki Minaj Operator bundles will be available from the start of the season, while 21 Savage’s bundle will arrive later in the season. Activision also dropped a trailer for the season:
This isn’t the first time Call of Duty has collaborated with rap legend Snoop Dogg as he had previously lent his vocal talents to the Snoop Dogg Voice Pack in Call of Duty: Ghosts and he also appeared as an operator in both Vanguard and Call of Duty: Mobile. Popular rapper Nicki Minaj had also previously appeared in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 trailer ‘Squad Up' along with Lil Baby, McLaren Formula 1 driver Lando Norris, comedian Pete Davidson, and FaZe Clan’s Nuke Squad.
