Silco from Arcane Is Back In TFT Set 9.5 Runeterra Reforged: Horizonbound
New 4-cost units in TFT!
Riot Games promised to post details every day of this week starting from 21st August about the upcoming Teamfight Tactics (TFT) Set 9.5 Runeterra Reforged: Horizonbound update. Players are already excited to see the mighty pirates from Bilgewater return to TFT and there are also going to be some new traits added to this update.
After introducing players to the Bilgewater trait, units, and Rat Town region portal, on 22nd August, Riot Games revealed the new 4-cost units of Horizonbound. Interestingly, Silco from Arcane has made a grand return to TFT Set 9.5 Runeterra Reforged: Horizonbound.
Here's all you need to know about Silco in TFT and the other 4-costs of this update.
Silco Returns to TFT in Horizonbound Update
In February 2022, for the first time in TFT history, Riot Games added an exclusive unit to the Gizmos & Gadgets mid-set —Silco. Since Silco is not a League of Legends champion, the TFT developers had to build him from scratch without any references of his abilities. In TFT 6.5 mid-set update, Silco was a five-cost Mastermind Scholar. His ability granted health, attack speed, and immunity to crowd control to his lowest health ally for a few seconds. But, the unit later would explode and die immediately after the effect runs out.
With the mid-set update coming to Runeterra Reforged in 9.5 Horizonbound, Riot Games announced that Silco would be a 4-cost unit this time around. The developers have also changed his ability in the auto-battler. This would be Silco's ability when he gets released along with the Horizonbound update:
Silco slings Shimmer at a foe, damaging them and enemies nearby. Allies in the contamination zone are healed.
Fiora Will Also be a 4-Cost Unit
Riot Games also revealed that Fiora is returning to TFT after her stint during the Gizmos & Gadgets set. She will be the other new 4-cost unit joining the battlefield alongside Arcane boss Silco.
Fiora's ability will be as follows:
Waltz through battle with Fiora, a Challenger who strikes her enemies while untargetable and heals for a portion of the damage dealt.
Nilah, Mordekaiser & Xayah join the fray
The other 4-cost units in the upcoming TFT mid-set update Horizonbound are:
Nilah: Nilah's attacks strike in an AoE [area of effect]. She dives the enemy donning a shield, and gaining attack speed.
Xayah: Shred your foes' armor with razor-sharp feathers. Xayah has a new class, Vanquisher, which increases critical strike chance against tankier enemies.
Mordekaiser: Mordekaiser hits slow, but hard. The hits get harder as he slays foes.
Nilah and Xayah fall under new class Vanquisher whereas Mordekaiser is a Noxian Slayer.
For Runeterra Reforged: Horizonbound, players currently know that they shall be traversing other Runeterra regions. So far two new regions have been revealed: Bilgewater and Ixtal.
Since we are in for a treat in the form of "a week full of spoilers", we can expect to see more new units, traits, portals and other cosmetics. Fans of Naafiri will be delighted to hear that there is a possibility of the Darkin being added to TFT with this mid-set update very soon.
