Riot Games Puts Global Esports on Billboard Advertisement in Mumbai
Now that is some serious representation!
Global Esports, one of the leading esports organizations from India, has been honored by Riot Games as the publisher put up a huge billboard advertisement in Mumbai that features the latest Valorant agent, Harbor, along with the team's name.
The massive hoarding has been placed on Linking Road, Mumbai which lies between Bandra and Khar. This information was shared by Dr Rushindra Sinha - Founder of Global Esports, who was absolutely taken aback by this grand gesture and stated, "This is absolutely insane!! You guys are mental!!"
Riot Games features Global Esports on massive billboard advertisement in Mumbai
The publisher and developer of Valorant, Riot Games, has advertised Global Esports along with Harbor on a billboard around Linking Road in Mumbai. Overall, the hoarding looks quite aesthetic and follows the blue-colored theme that has been tied to the latest Valorant agent, Harbor, who has been inspired by Indian mythic heroes and hails from the country.
Along with this, the written message on the advertisement reads "Here To Level Up Global Esports" which probably points towards and highlights the fact that it is the only esports organization from the South Asia region that has received a Valorant franchise slot for the Valorant Champions Tour Pacific League, scheduled to start in 2023.
Apparently, this is not the only thing that Riot Games has put effort into. There is also a beautiful mural made near the Sassoon Docks area, located in South Mumbai.
The artwork is a chase scene from Harbor's agent release trailer titled 'Turn The Tides' which also takes place in Mumbai. Keeping in touch with the Indian roots of the new agent, the place he represents, and the huge playerbase from the country, Riot has done quite a lot from their side to celebrate this moment.
Apart from this, Riot Games also hosted a physical launch event of the agent in Mumbai, inviting select members of the community to the event - 'The New Wave', while also livestreaming it to other players from the region.
Riot even worked with several artists from the region to create the official theme song of the agent - RAJA, which went insanely viral across the Valorant gaming community with more than 1.7 Million views on YouTube.
