Ludwig’s 1997 Subaru Sambar minitruck was stolen from an LA warehouse during the power outages.

Content creator and YouTube star Ludwig Ahgren revealed in a video of Mogul Mail that his “dream car” was stolen from his warehouse during a recent power outage in Los Angeles (LA), California as a result of the rainstorms. Ludwig stated that his Subaru Sambar mini truck was stolen from his warehouse and later took to Twitter to reveal where it was last spotted in Los Angeles. He said he was “literally stolen from, thieved, larcenied in the middle of the night.

Notably, Ludwig bought this car from Japan and had it stored at a warehouse where they film ‘The Yard’ podcast.

Ludwig talked about his prized possession and explained why the minitruck was so dear to him in the video and asked those in Los Angeles to let him know if they ever chanced upon his Subaru Sambar.

Why was Ludwig’s car parked in a warehouse?

On 27th August 2022, Ludwig shared on Twitter that he finally got his dream car, the 1997 Subaru Sambar, a minitruck that was famous in Japan in the ‘80s and ‘90s. The same day he imported this car, it broke down due to a flat tire and Ludwig noted that all the tires needed a change given that they were 25 years old. Ludwig added, “It is a little bit harder to find somebody in LA in 2022 or 2023 to fix tires for a 25-year-old imported car.

Ludwig added that he had the Subaru parked at a warehouse while actively looking for a means to change the tires. He stated that there was no real urgency since he has his Vespa and his other car for commuting.

The content creator said that the recent storms in LA caused a power outage at the warehouse where they shot episodes of ‘The Yard’ and that it led to the theft of his dream car. Ludwig revealed that The Yard’s co-host Aiden was stuck in the warehouse during the power outage and that the producer of the podcast had to get the gate to open to help Aiden leave. Unfortunately, they could not get the gate to close before leaving the warehouse.

Through this rainstorm, a thief in the night came to our warehouse, went into my car, somehow jacked it. I don’t know how. I don’t think there was a spare key left in there, maybe, it was. And [the thief] disappeared from the crime scene,” said a frustrated Ludwig.

While Ludwig explained that the minitruck in itself was not that expensive to buy, he noted that it was “his car” and that getting another minitruck won’t be the exact same. He added, “This one had great mileage on it too. Only had like 60,000 km. That’s like 40,000 miles or so.

Further, he appealed to his viewers in LA to let him know if they happened to see the 1997 Subaru Sambar in the vicinity.

After a few hours of posting the video, Ludwig shared an update on Twitter stating that his 1997 Subaru Sambar was spotted for a brief while in the neighborhood of Sylmar before it was moved.
