LoL Patch 13.13 Preview Is Raining Nerfs As Riot Games Keen on Stabilization
Lee Sin and Nidalee are slated for buffs!
League of Legends players are bracing themselves for the next patch already as Riot Games shared the preview of LoL Patch 13.13 on 21st June. This update is bringing forth crucial nerfs to Statikk Shiv which has been ruling the roost in both solo queue as well as pro play. Additionally, Rell, who just recently received a mid-scope update, is also getting adjusted by the developers. Apart from that, only two champions are getting buffs: Lee Sin and Nidalee, and hence we are going to see a meta change in the jungle.
Here’s all we know about LoL Patch 13.13 so far!
Riot Games’ goals for LoL Patch 13.13
Lead Designer: League Balance Team & Preseason Matt Leung-Harrison aka Riot Phroxzon took to Twitter to explain the upcoming patch. He stated, “This patch is mostly focused on stabilization as it will be a 3-week patch and let the meta play out. AP [Ability Power] Shiv is over-tuned on a few cases (LB, etc.), but ~balanced on other others vs other options (Zoe, Teemo, etc.)”
Riot Games is nerfing AP minion ratio and long-distance jump charge as a result.
With the major goals for this patch out of the way, the following are the only two champions getting a buff in LoL Patch 13.13:
Lee Sin
Nidalee
The champions who are getting nerfed are as follows:
Annie
Aphelios
Ivern
Kindred
Neeko
Rek’Sai
Varus (Ability Power build)
Vi
Wukong
Additionally, players have to be vigilant while purchasing Statikk Shiv starting LoL Patch 13.13 as Riot Games will be nerfing the AP minion ratios to prevent champions like LeBlanc from dominating the game. The Statikk Shiv pick on mages is at an all-time high in pubs and is making appearances in pro play as well.
Likewise, Summoner Spell Ghost is also slated for a nerf. The cooldown of this spell will be increased to 240 seconds from 210 seconds.
LoL Patch 13.13: Champion and System Adjustments
The only champion who is getting adjusted in this upcoming patch is Rell. Following her rework, Rell can now be played in the jungle beside her usual support role. In order to help her in the jungle, Riot Games is buffing her jungle stats while nerfing her support numbers.
Meanwhile, the system adjustments are directed at:
Essence Reaver
Duskblade interaction for Samira and Katarina
Stromblade
Notably, according to the official Riot Games patch schedule, LoL Patch 13.13 is expected to go live on 28th June. Oceanic servers will be the first to receive the update and it will later be rolled out to other servers throughout the day. Players will have to keep in mind that this patch will be live for three weeks.
