League of Legends Worlds 2021 Playoffs - Schedule, Details, and Where to Watch

League of Legends Worlds 2021 is set to continue today with the final eight teams competing against each other for the Summoner’s Cup. The playoffs will take place from 22nd October 2021 to 31st October 2021 for the quarter-finals and semi-finals. The grand finals will take place on 6th November 2021. All matches will take place in a best-of-five format in a single elimination bracket. Worlds 2021 Playoffs: Format and Overview

Eight teams will play in a single elimination bracket where the first placed team of each group faces the second placed team from another group. There will also be ‘Side Selection Privilege’ at the playoffs. Teams with Side Selection Privilege can choose the side in game one, after that, the team that loses can choose the side in the next game. In the quarterfinals, the group winners will have the Side Choice Privilege. In the following matches, the Side Choice Privilege will be determined by a coin flip. All matches including the grand finals will be a best-of-five series.

Worlds 2021 features a prize pool of $2,225,000 USD and the winners will be taking home $489,000 USD. Players in the winning team will also be awarded 18-karat white gold rings with sapphires and encased diamonds designed by Riot and Mercedez-Benz.
