LoL Worlds 2021 Winners Will Receive Custom Rings by Mercedes-Benz
2021’s League of Legends World Championship is underway and Riot Games has partnered with automobile company Mercedes-Benz to award custom-fitted rings to all players who win this year’s championship. The rings will be custom designed for each player with their summoner name and team name and it will feature the colors of the Summoner’s Cup, the trophy awarded to League of Legends world champions.
The Worlds 2021 rings are made of 18-karat white gold with encased diamonds
The world championship rings have the Mercedes-Benz star logo displayed on the sides which are made of 18-karat white gold with a custom cut sapphire jewel. The Worlds logo that is featured on each ring has a diamond encased within. While Riot Games and Mercedes-Benz were responsible for building the emblem, the rings were handcrafted by GOOD ART HLYWD.
Riot’s global head of League esports Naz Aletaha revealed in the official LoL Esports blog “Championship rings are a storied tradition in sports, synonymous with the highest achievements and unmatched excellence. Since the start of our partnership in 2020, Mercedes-Benz has helped elevate and celebrate the best-of-the best in LoL Esports, and we are thrilled to bring together our shared love for design and innovation to make a resounding mark on the crowning achievement of our sport.”
The rings will be handed out to the world champions on 6th November 2021 after the grand finals. The group stages have concluded and the playoffs are set to commence today (22nd October) with Hanwha Life Esports going up against T1. There are eight teams in contention for the world championships and fans will have to wait just two more weeks to find out who will take home this year’s Summoner’s Cup.
Fans at home will also be able to get their hands on exclusive rewards by earning Worlds 2021 tokens and completing limited time missions. Rewards include Prestige coins, Dawnbringer and Nightbringer skins, Key Fragments, Blue Essence and more.
