Lee “Rush” Yoon-jae is a popular streamer and former professional League of Legends player who only recently started streaming League of Legends after returning from mandatory South Korean military service. He announced his comeback on 29th May on Twitter and wrote, “I just have finished mandatory military service. I have changed a lot! Things I got from [the] military: Toxicity, Fat, 8000$ (18 months total). Things I lost: Humanity, league skills (gold 2)”
Since then the jungler player has been streaming on Twitch with an average of five to ten hours every day playing Korean Solo Queue. During his time as a pro player, he has played in both North America and South Korea regions.
Notably, during his pro career in Korea, he was a part of the KT Rolster squad as a substitute, which was deemed the Korean superteam in 2018. In the 2018 Spring split, the team managed to place third in the regionals and during the Summer split, it took home the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) trophy and made it to Worlds. Rush played alongside top players like Son "Ucal" Woo-hyeon and super carry Kim "Deft" Hyuk-kyu.
Rush talks about his contact with former teammates
In a recent stream, Rush talked about some of his old teammates who are in touch with him. He said that a few old KT Rolster players sometimes messaged him. “I don’t really have contact with like many players. Probably some KT players – Ucal sometimes messages me, Deft sometimes bullies me, straight up bullies me for no reason.”
What did Deft tell Rush?
He added that Deft commented that he had gotten worse at League of Legends. “Like, ‘I’m watching your stream, you suck. You’re even worse than before.’ I’m waiting for him to lose in LCK so I can flame him after. Waiting for the chance. He won every single game so I didn’t get the chance yet.”
Deft is currently on DRX in the LCK as its starting bot-laner and the team has won all of its series so far, at the time of writing. So it seems like Rush is waiting for the opportune moment to get back at his former teammate. According to his plans, “One day I’m gonna tell him AD gap. Maybe versus T1 or Damwon. I can tell ‘Wow. Gumayusi so good’ and that’s how you trigger him.”
Given that Rush is an entertaining streamer, one should remember that his words have a humor element attached to them and his comments are not always serious. However, it will be interesting to see whether Rush actually tells “AD gap” to Deft if and when the pro player loses his first game in the LCK.
