Riot Games revealed more details about the in-game content that will soon be available in League of Legends in LoL Patch 12.12. The company addressed the rotations of the Mythic Shop, upcoming new Mythic chromas, and also the return of the much-beloved Essence Emporium. LoL Patch 12.12 has a lot in store, quite literally, for the players who love collecting League of Legends’ in-game loot and content.
What is League of Legends Essence Emporium?
The Essence Emporium is a Blue Essence sale that occurs twice a year in League of Legends. The first Essence Emporium was introduced to the game at the start of Pre-Season Eight.
This limited-time store, for those unfamiliar, consists of chromas, icons, and one or two exceptionally rare and expensive skins that will be available for purchase using Blue Essence.
Blue Essence is one of the primary currencies used to unlock League of Legends content apart from Riot Points (RP). Blue Essence can be obtained by leveling up, completing missions, disenchanting champion shards, or opening Champion Capsules that one receives for leveling up.
Blue Essence is used for purchasing champions, hextech crafting mystery champion shards, additional rune pages, upgrading champion mastery to level six or seven, and changing summoner name.
When is the Essence Emporium coming to League of Legends?
Riot Games announced that Essence Emporium will make a comeback in LoL Patch 12.12 and players can expect the Essence Emporium store to be live between 28th June and 12th July. Players can get their hands on their favorite chromas for their skin collection and also purchase emotes, ward skins, icons, and more using their Blue Essence balance. The URFWick skin will also be available for sale at the usual cost of 150 Thousand Blue Essence.
Essence Emporium to go on hiatus
Riot Games said, “After this run, the Essence Emporium is going on hiatus while we rebuild it. The Emporium is built, tested, and shipped in a... not so great way that takes astronomically more work than any reasonable person would fathom.”
It added that apart from making the Essence Emporium more efficient, it was also exploring “some long-needed navigation and usability improvements for when (not if) it returns.”
To compensate for the time the Essence Emporium will be away, the company is shifting the usual three Gemstone icon bundles into a set of three missions that will be free for all players and that will grant them 10 Mythic Essence each, for a total of 30 Mythic Essence per player.
Make sure to get the best chromas and loot out of the upcoming Essence Emporium since it is unclear what changes Riot Games will implement in the near future.
