Soul Fighter Viego in League of Legends can be seen doing the famous Torture Dance from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventures.
This is not the first time players are seeing a JoJo x League of Legends crossover.

A crossover between your favorite anime and your game sounds like a fever dream. With the release of a handful of Soul Fighter skins in League of Legends with LoL Patch 13.14, players have noticed a ‘bizarre’ easter egg with the newly introduced Soul Fighter Viego legendary skin that’s currently on the public beta environment (PBE).

For those who are not familiar, Soul Fighter takes place in a colorful and diverse world where competitors fight to prove themselves through combat on the world’s biggest stage, the “Tournament of Souls.

One of the inclusions in this line, the Soul Fighter Viego, makes a reference to JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure anime. As a result, fans of both League of Legends and the anime are eagerly anticipating the release of this skin in the upcoming LoL Patch 13.15 next month. Here’s all you need to know about this Soul Fighter skin.

Viego performs the torture dance from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventures

This easter egg went viral on social media this week and fans have loved this JoJo reference. In the Soul Fighter skin, Viego recreates the famous Vocal Percussion dance or the torture dance from the series in the Golden Wind story arc. You can see Viego and his wife Isolde doing the dance routine together.

On 18th July, a Riot Games animator took to Twitter to post the dance routine and wrote, “Soul Fighter Viego Hits the Rift today, thought I would show some stuff I did, lets start with his dance with Isolde.

Commenting on this skin and the reference, a player said, “I knew there were JoJo influences in this skin line and this proves it! Top-tier work from everyone involved! Thank you for your hard work.

Notably, in the anime, characters Narancia, Mista, and Fugo perform a song titled ‘Canzoni Preferite’ in JoJo’s fifth part as they torture Zucchero. According to Fandom, parts of the track seemingly take inspiration from the song P Control, by Prince and the accompanying dance routine combines elements of Michael Jackson's Dangerous and with original poses from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure manga.

Interestingly, this Viego dance is not the first time Riot Games has made a crossover between League of Legends and JoJo’s. There have been several other voice line references in the past. For example, Debonair Zed, Japanese voice lines of Xerath and Vi’s ‘Ora Ora Ora’ Eternal title are all JoJo’s easter eggs in the game.

Additionally, the Japanese voice for Sett in League of Legends was voiced by Takehito Koyasu, the same actor who lent his vocals to Dio in the show.

Notably, Soul Fighter Viego alongside the rest of the newly revealed skins, will likely release in Patch 13.15 on 2nd August. Riot Games only released Soul Fighter Samira, Soul Fighter Sett, Soul Fighter Lux, Soul Fighter Pyke, Prestige Soul Fighter Pyke, Soul Fighter Naafiri, and Star Guardian Senna with LoL Patch 13.14 and they will be made available on 20th July at 21:00 BST.
