Riot Games announced that Soul Fighter would be a six-week event taking over the world of Runeterra with new game modes, skins, champions, and more. This event is not just exclusive to League of Legends but also will grace other titles including Wild Rift, Teamfight Tactics, and Legends of Runeterra. The company noted that its tribute to the fighting game genre takes inspiration from the deep emotional resonance and unique character moments from fighting games and anime tournament arcs. The Soul Fighter event is scheduled to begin globally on 20th July (Thursday) and will end only on 28th August.
According to the event lore, Soul Fighter takes place in a colorful and diverse world where competitors fight to prove themselves through combat on the world’s biggest stage, the “Tournament of Souls.” The competition, hosted by the mysterious God’s Eye, is where fighters with extraordinary abilities battle it out until there is only one standing, said Riot Games.
In this article, we shall focus on what Soul Fighter is bringing to League of Legends including exclusive skins, game modes, and more. Notably, a total of twelve skins are getting released under the theme of Soul Fighter, including the Prestige and Ultimate ones.
League of Legends Soul Fighters Skins: All you need to know
League of Legends players are hyped for the 2023 summer event after having mediocre and rather repetitive visual novels in the last two years. This year, Riot kept up its promise and is doing things differently. This includes the addition of a brand-new expansive skin line.
The theme for this skin line reads, “A yearly battle is held to determine the greatest fighter across the land. This "Tournament of Souls" sees competitors of all types-each with their own Soul Power - brawl in fierce one-on-one skirmishes. The top prize is greater than any trophy: a shard of the Soul Gem said to grant a single wish to those who possess it.”
The Soul Fighter skins are as follows:
Samira (Ultimate)
Pyke (Prestige)
Shaco (Prestige)
Sett
Gwen
Lux
Evelynn
Viego
Jhin
Naafiri
The Samira Ultimate skin will cost 3250 RP while the Viego Legendary tier skin will be priced 1820 RP. The Epic skins for Sett, Jhin, Lux, Evelynn, Gwen, Naafiri, and Pyke will cost 1350 RP each.
Meanwhile, in the Mythic store, the Prestige Pyke and Shaco skins will cost 2,000 tokens each.
Riot Games also announced that it will contribute 20% of proceeds from the sales of Samira Ultimate skin, the Event Pass, and all related bundle sales in League of Legends toward the Riot Games Social Impact Fund, between 20th July and 28th August.
Here’s everything that will benefit the fund from the Soul Fighter event:

Summer 2023 Event Pass Bundle
LoL Patch 13.14 is scheduled to drop on 19th July and as usual, a day later the skins, the event, and the new game mode will be released with the Summer Event which is centralized around the theme of this exclusive in-universe event.
