Here's all you need to know about the Coven skins coming to League of Legends in 2023.

Coven skins in League of Legends are very popular as it presented the champions in a very unique aesthetic: High fashion witch queens. It is reported that Riot Games and its designers drew inspiration from works like The Witch, Game of Thrones, Dark Souls and Bloodborne. The name of the skinline "Coven" reinforces the same thematic as a coven refers to a group or meeting of witches.

The Coven skins were first introduced to League of Legends in 2018 and later in 2021, a handful of other champions were added to the skinline. Now, several reports and leaks suggest that more champions will be joining the coven in 2023.

Here's all we know about the Coven skins in 2023, as per leaks and rumors.

Coven Skins 2023: Rumored Lineup of Champions

According to leaks, a total of seven new champions will be reportedly joining the Coven skins 2023's lineup. Popular and renowned data miner and leaker Big Bad Bear stated that the following will be the 2023 Coven skins in League of Legends:

  • Coven Syndra

  • Coven Nami

  • Coven Elise

  • Coven Nilah

  • Coven Akali

  • Coven Renata Glasc

  • Coven Mordekaiser

It is also rumored that the Legendary skin from the Coven collection 2023 will either go to Syndra or Nami. Some of these skins like the Mordekaiser one could fall into Old God or Eclipse skins also since they are not confirmed yet.

Notably, eclipse is a series of alternate universe skins, featuring champions as monastic knights, forest inhabitants, evil witches and gods of an old world. It officially includes these four skinlines: General Eclipse, Coven, Death Blossom, and Elderwood.

Additionally, the Big Bad Bear noted in a recent video (7th September) that players might also be getting some Coven exclusives in Legends of Runeterra and Wild Rift as well.

For Wild Rift, leaks are suggesting that the game might be receiving Coven Zyra and Coven Evelynn, both being old skins in League PC. Meanwhile, in Legends of Runeterra, Nilah could very likely be receiving a Coven skin in that game too. The exclusive skin for LoR that won't be coming to League PC is rumored to be Coven Janna.

While the Coven skins were released in 2018 initially, the roster was significantly expanded in 2021. The following are the Coven skins that are already available in the game:

  1. Ashe

  2. Evelynn

  3. Ahri

  4. Cassiopeia

  5. Warwick

  6. Malphite

  7. Camille

  8. LeBlanc

  9. Morgana

  10. Zyra

  11. Lissandra

Notably, Warwick and Malphite were the first male champions to be added to this skinline and if the leaks are true, Mordekaiser will be the third one.

At this point, it is unclear whether we will have an in-game event for the release of the 2023 Coven skins. With the skins rumored to be coming in LoL Patch 13.19, players can look forward to getting official updates from Riot Games very soon.
