Blue Essence Emporium is back in League of Legends with LoL Patch 13.17 and will be on the client for sometime.
Here's all you need to know about it.

The Blue Essence Emporium in League of Legends is an in-game sale that previously occurred twice a year. It was introduced at the start of pre-season eight by Riot Games and the last time players were treated to the Blue Essence Emporium was in 2022 in LoL Patch 12.12 between 28th June and 12th July.

Following this, Riot Games took it down temporarily to rebuild and work on the limited-time store and promised to bring it back live soon.

Riot Games said in 2022, “After this run, the Essence Emporium is going on hiatus while we rebuild it. The Emporium is built, tested, and shipped in a... not so great way that takes astronomically more work than any reasonable person would fathom.

Now, in LoL Patch 13.17, Riot Games has brought back the Blue Essence Emporium which is currently live in the client. Here's all you need to know about the Emporium, what's available for sale in it, how different it is this time, and how long it will stay on the League of Legends client.

What's in the 2023 Blue Essence Emporium?

Now that the Essence Emporium is live in 2023 with LoL Patch 13.17, players can buy their favorite chromas for their skin collection and also purchase emotes, ward skins, icons, and more using their Blue Essence balance. The URFWick skin is also available for sale at the cost of 150 Thousand Blue Essence. Additionally, for this iteration of the limited-time shop, players can also purchase Champie icons that are adorable.

However, some of the players are disappointed with the Blue Essence Emporium's comeback in 2023 as the following crowd favorites are gone and are no longer available:

  • Mystery icon chest

  • Mystery Ward Skin

  • Limited chromas

One Redditor wrote, "Waiting that much for this year's Blue Essence Emporium felt bad. What Riot really did with their time "fixing" the essence emporium? It feels exactly like the old one and with less options now..."

Ever since the store went live on the client, players have also been reporting crashes and bugs within the game.

How Long Is the 2023 Blue Essence Emporium Live?

The Blue Essence Emporium 2023 was rolled out on 6th September at 8 pm UTC and it will be available on the client for around two weeks till 20th September 8 pm UTC.

The community feels that this iteration of the store was a huge letdown. Especially since the developers said that running the Essence Empoirum was inefficient and that it caused "delays and feature cuts in other projects” and Riot Games wanted to explore navigation and usability improvements for the Essence Emporium's return.

Riot Games has not commented on it yet and as usual, developers could add some context to the changes made on the Reddit posts in the coming days.
