Teams are stepping into high gear as the regular play of the Summer Split is over and the competition is heating up pretty quickly. Eight teams are left to fight for the number one spot in the North America League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) Championship 2022, the crowning event for the split and the one that decides the Worlds representative. The reigning Spring split Champion Evil Geniuses (EG) will look to defend its title and win back-to-back splits. EG ended the Summer split on a high note by placing first in the standings.
The LCS Championship 2022 is a double elimination bracket with exciting best-of-five (BO5) series and the culmination of the event shall take place in Chicago, Illinois. The event will see the crowning of the best North American team at the United Center in Chicago after a showdown on 10th and 11th September.

A guide to LCS Championship 2022
The LCS 2022 Championship is the second installment of the LCS Championship. An LCS champion will be crowned and the Worlds 2022 representatives from North America (NA) shall also be decided. The top two teams make it to the Worlds 2022 main event and the third seed qualifies for the Worlds Play-ins.
Format
The top 8 teams from the Summer Season participate
The top two teams start in Round 2 of the upper bracket
In Round 1 of the upper bracket, the third seed plays the sixth seed, while the fourth seed plays the fifth seed.
The number one seed chooses to play against either potential winner of 3rd vs 6th or 4th vs 5th before the Championship starts
The 7th and 8th seed teams start in Round 1 of the lower bracket
The LCS Championship is a double-elimination bracket
