Gamers8 Rocket League 2023: Format, Schedule, Scores & More

Gamers8 is one of the largest gatherings of games and esports and is dubbed a destination for elite esports athletes and gamers from around the world. The best teams and players gathered in the heart of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh, for a high-octane celebration of gaming and esports for eight weeks. Gamers8 came back in 2023 with its second edition, featuring more events, esports titles, celebrations, and bigger prize money. 

Organized by the Saudi Esports Federation, Gamers8 2023 kicked off on 6th July and will come to a close on 31st August. The event called ‘The Land of Heroes’ featured a total of 13 esports tournaments with a combined prize pool of $33.5 Million USD. Notably, Rocket League tournament is one of the highly anticipated tournaments.

A Guide to Gamers8 2023 Rocket League Event

The Gamers8 2023 Rocket League tournament matches are scheduled to kick off on 24th August and here’s everything you need to know about this tournament starting from the schedule, scores, winners, and more. The event is happening at Riyadh Boulevard in an offline LAN setting. A total of 24 teams will be participating in the event and competing to take home the lion's share of the $2 Million USD prize pool.

Rocket League 2023 Gamers8 Format

Group Stage

• Four groups of six teams each

• Double Elimination Bracket.

• All matches are best-of-five (BO5).

• The participants distribute their roster on who will play for them in a 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3 game.

Order of Games:

• Game 1: 3v3

• Game 2: The loser of Game 1 picks from 1v1 or 2v2 Game Mode

• Game 3: 3v3

• Game 4: The Game Mode will be the one that has not been chosen in Game 2

• Game 5: 3v3

Top 2 teams per group - eight in total - qualify for the Playoffs.

Playoffs Stage

• Single Elimination Bracket.

• All matches are best-of-seven (BO7).

• The participants distribute their roster on who will play for them in a 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3 game.

Order of Games:

• Game 1: 3v3

• Game 2: The loser of Game 1 picks from 1v1 or 2v2 Game Mode

• Game 3: 3v3

• Game 4: The Game Mode will be the one that has not been chosen in Game 2

• Game 5: 3v3

• Game 6: The loser of Game 5 picks from 1v1 or 2v2 Game Mode

• Game 7: 3v3
