Gamers8 is one of the largest gatherings of games and esports and is dubbed a destination for elite esports athletes and gamers from around the world. For its second iteration in 2023 ‘The Land of Heroes’, Gamers8 featured more events, esports titles, celebrations, and bigger prize money. One of the highly-anticipated tournaments of this esports festival is the Rocket League tournament and it is one of the largest Rocket League tournaments of 2023. Notably, this event will close out Gamers8 in 2023 on 27th August.
According to Arab News, Saudi Esports Federation Chief Esports Officer Faisal bin Homran noted that Gamers8: The Land of Heroes saw some of the greatest gaming action this summer. He added, “Rocket League is the ideal tournament to conclude the biggest gaming and esports festival worldwide.”
A total of 24 teams will take to the Group Stage of the Rocket League tournament and they will battle it out for a share of the $2 Million USD prize pool, with the winner taking home $500,000.

Gamers8 Rocket League 2023 Tournament: Invited & Qualified Teams
For the Gamers8 Rocket League 2023 Tournament, a total of 16 teams were directly invited from different regions of the world. They are as follows:

The other eight teams had to qualify from the Gamers Without Borders invitational charity tournament which was held separately for Europe and North America.
In each of these separate qualifying events, the top four teams qualified for Gamers8 2023 Rocket League tournament.

Notably, the tournament will kick off with the the group stage, featuring four groups of six teams with double-elimination brackets. All matches will be a best-of-five (Bo5) with alternating Game Modes. The teams will choose which players to play in the games.
Day 1 and Day 2 on 24th and 25th August will feature the Group Stage games and on 26th August, the Quarterfinals are scheduled to take place. On Day 4, 27th August, the Semi-Final games and Grand Final will happen.
Additionally, the Playoffs stage will feature BO7s and an eight-team single elimination bracket.
