One of the biggest games and esports gatherings in the world – Gamers8 – is back in 2023 with a combined prize pool of $33.5 Million USD. Organized by the Saudi Esports Federation, the second edition of Gamers8 titled ‘The Land of Heroes’ features a total of 13 esports tournaments. Rainbow Six (R6) Siege is one of the highly anticipated esports titles to return this year. The best teams and players have gathered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for a thrilling event.

The Gamers8 Rainbow Six Siege 2023 tournament matches are scheduled to kick off on 13th July and here’s everything you need to know about this tournament starting from the teams participating, schedule, winners, and more.


A Guide to Gamers8 Rainbow Six Siege 2023 Event

Rainbow Six Siege, a team-based first-person shooter (FPS) game, was a popular addition to Gamers8 2022 and has returned to Riyadh in 2023 with eight of the best teams from around the world. The prize pool of the current edition is $2 Million USD.

Notably, in 2022, Team BDS emerged victorious after beating the home team, Team Falcons, in the grand final with a clean sweep 3-0 score. The R6 Siege tournament is scheduled to kick off on 13th July and will come to closure with the grand final on 16th July. 

Gamers8 Rainbow Six Siege Format

The format is going to be the same as last year: Two groups with four teams, each with two invited teams.

Group Stage: 13th to 14th July

  • Double-Elimination bracket

  • All matches are best-of-three (BO3)

  • The top two teams from each group advance to the playoffs

Playoffs: 15th July to 16th July

  • Single-Elimination bracket

  • All matches are best-of-three

  • The grand final will be a best-of-five (BO5), with no map advantage.

Schedule for Gamers8 Rainbow Six Siege 2023

For the first stage of the tournament at Gamers8, the eight teams will be facing their respective group opponents in a double-elimination bracket. The winning team in the first round qualifies for the Upper Bracket Final, from where the winner gets a direct ticket to the Grand Final in the Playoff stage. Whereas, the losers in the first round and the Upper Finals, get another chance to fight in the lower bracket. 

Meanwhile, the Playoff stage is very straightforward: Two semi-finals and the grand final with no second chance.
