The rapper will release the Worlds 2022 anthem called Star Walkin and also collaborate for a Prestige skin for the upcoming champion K’Sante.

Riot Games’ collaboration with American rapper and singer Montero “Lil Nas X” Lamar Hill was officially announced on 15th September. The company introduced Lil Nas X as the new “President” of League of Legends and called him Lil Nas Xecutive in a short video for the upcoming Worlds 2022 anthem. The collaboration has been in the works for quite some time and fans had come up with theories and leaks by putting on their detective caps to suggest the collaboration. Even though Lil Nas X is not the actual President of the game, the star will be working closely with the company to create buzz in the community.

New Worlds 2022 anthem by Lil Nas X

Lil Nas X has produced great hits like "Industry Baby" and "Old Town Road." The singer will now be officially writing and performing the new Worlds 2022 anthem titled “Star Walkin” which will debut on 23rd September. A few verses of the song were featured in the short mockumentary that Riot posted on social media.

Star Walkin is the ninth Worlds anthem in League of Legends history and it has already impressed fans so far. The rapper will also perform Star Walkin during the opening ceremony of the Worlds 2022 finals at Chase Center in San Francisco.

In a LoL Pls video released in August, Lead Champion Producer Ryan “Reav3” Mireles talked about the new Shuriman top lane champion called K’Sante, the Pride of Nazumah. Reav3 confirmed that the next champion will be a tank top-laner from Shurima, who was briefly mentioned in the last LoL Champion Roadmap in April.

Additionally, Reav3 revealed that he is not sure if the champion team drew inspiration from Mali Prince Sundiata but confirmed that Nazumah and K’Sante are inspired by West African Culture.

With all the hype around Lil Nas and K’Sante and the new anthem, Worlds 2022 will kick off in style on 29th September.
