Fans are convinced that Lil Nas X is collaborating with Riot Games for the Worlds 2022 anthem.
A booklet with the Worlds 2022 logo was reportedly circulated at the singer’s recent tour.

Riot Games never fails to deliver when it comes to treating its fans to content surrounding its games and their esports scenes. It is a tradition in League of Legends esports where the company releases a dedicated hype anthem before the start of the annual World Championship aka Worlds. Multiple leaks have suggested that Riot Games could be collaborating with American rapper and singer Montero “Lil Nas X” Lamar Hill for the Worlds 2022 anthem. Lil Nas X has produced great hits like "Industry Baby" and "Old Town Road".

The first Worlds anthem was "Warriors" by Imagine Dragons which was released for Worlds 2014. Last year, the company collaborated with singer/artist PVRIS for Burn it All Down and it has also worked with other artists like Nicky Taylor, Zedd, and Chrissy Costanza.

Booklets distributed at Lil Nas X show tour

According to League of Legends YouTuber and leaker Big Bad Bear, booklets were distributed at the recent Lil Nas X tour that indicated possible collaborations between the singer and Riot Games for Worlds 2022. The booklet shown in Big Bad Bear’s video contains the logo and the tagline for Worlds 2022 - One & Only.

There was an interesting line printed in the booklet along with the Worlds 2022 logo that read: “Why worship legends when you know that you can join ‘em?” This could be a lyric from the upcoming Worlds 2022 anthem.

Lil Nas X is also not touring during the Worlds 2022 finals week. The singer is free on 5th November, which is when the World Championship is coming to a close. As a result, if the collaboration is confirmed, fans can expect him to perform at the Opening Ceremony this year.

Lil Nas X at Riot Games headquarters

On 9th August, Lil Nas X posted a series of photos where he can be seen in front of a PC with his old pictures displayed on the monitor. Fans were quick to realize that the monitor next to his actually had a Miss Fortune background and also had a League of Legends launcher. Additionally, the Riot Client was also open and minimized on the computer the singer was using. They were quick to theorize that the singer was at the Riot Games HQ in Los Angeles.

Before the Worlds 2022 booklet surfaced, League of Legends fans speculated that the singer could be the voice actor for the upcoming top-lane champion named K’Sante.

No matter who the collaborating artist is, fans will be expecting to see a great show and a great Worlds 2022 anthem. The community knows how good Riot Games is when it comes to releasing music videos and other content surrounding League of Legends. With Worlds 2022 only a few weeks away, Riot Games will be making an official announcement about the anthem, the singer, and the title very soon. Until then, all leaks should be taken with a pinch of salt.
