Apex Legends Season 14 launched earlier this week and players are enjoying themselves in the new revamped Skull Town in Kings Canyon, which is arguably the most iconic point of interest (POI) in the entire game. But the return of Skull Town is not the only thing that has changed about the game. The newly redesigned lobby looks like a lab and it hides within it a massive secret from Titanfall.
The new Titanfall easter egg is hidden right before your eyes
In the new lobby, players might notice that there is a locked-up prisoner. While at first glance players might think the prisoner is Vantage’s mother Xenia Contreras, she is not. It is actually a scientist from Titanfall 2.
Players who revisit the past with Jack Cooper and BT in Titanfall 2 will remember that they run into multiple rooms with scientists and the character model used in Apex Legends’ new lobby is actually one of the scientists.
The scientists worked at an ARES facility, which is where the IMC (Interstellar Manufacturing Corporation) discovered Fold Weapon. We know that the IMC is tied to the Apex Legends universe and we even had the introduction of IMC armories in Storm Point not too long ago.
Wraith is tied to ARES and we saw her confront a fragment of her past recently in the Family Secrets quest of Season 13. With yet another connection to Titanfall 2 being made, things are looking a little suspicious.
Apex Legends and Titanfall are set in the same universe and while Apex Legends is a spinoff game, it has become significantly more popular and it continues to grow as one of the most popular battle royales out there.
Respawn Entertainment is currently working on a new game set in the Apex Legends universe and these little teasers might be a way of leading up to an official announcement. Respawn is currently in the hiring stage of the project and it might be a while until we have more details about the upcoming game.
