In a recent vlog, CarryMinati revealed that in 2013 he had applied to join FaZe Clan via the FaZe 5 challenge.
CarryMinati shared this during a conversation with FaZe Apex at the Next World Forum in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

One of the biggest YouTube stars from India, Ajey Nagar popularly known as CarryMinati, during a recent vlog revealed that nine years ago he had applied to be a part of FaZe Clan, one of the largest esports organizations in the world which is headquartered in the United States.

CarryMinati had shared this information while interacting with Yousef "Apex" Abdelfattah, who is one of the founders and owners of FaZe Clan.

The two had run into each other at the Next World Forum, a gaming and esports conference hosted by the Saudi Esports Federation from 7th to 8th September at the Four Seasons Hotel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

During his recent visit to the Next World Forum, CarryMinati shook hands with several creators and personalities from other countries, one of them being FaZe Apex. The interaction between them was quite interesting with the Indian YouTube sensation recollecting an instance from his past when he had wanted to be a part of FaZe Clan.

CarryMinati shared that nine years ago in 2013, he had actually applied to be a part of FaZe Clan via the popular FaZe 5 challenge, which is a recruitment contest run by the esports organization to sign talented content creators under its banner.

"I will tell you, like in 2013 I gave a trial for FaZe 5. I even bought an X Box from my friend for it," said an excited CarryMinati, catching FaZe Apex by surprise who laughed about it and remarked that they definitely missed out on a great talent.

CarryMinati was quick to dismiss the compliment as he accepted that he was not that good at competitive gaming, leading the two of them to share a hearty laugh.

Note: The related segment started from 04:19 onwards.

FaZe Apex even gave his opinion on whether FaZe Clan would expand its presence to India and be a part of the region by simply saying that, "You know I saw MrBeast's Hindi channel (YouTube) and I see that there is a big audience out there."

While this was a very incomplete statement, it does give us an insight that India is a region that has piqued the interest of FaZe Apex. As for CarryMinati, it was surely a fan moment come true, but back then he was an upcoming YouTuber and now he has established an identity of his own.
