Since the departure of Icebox, there have been discussions about the future of this map. While no official news has been released, according to a recent leak by Charnjit "s3rius2k1" Mudhar, Brand Manager of Revenant Esports, there are about seven potential changes that could be coming to the map.
Here are all the possible changes that could be made to Icebox, whose return date is still not fixed.
All possible changes coming to Valorant map Icebox
As usual, data miners and leakers have got their hands on vital upcoming information which may or may not be true. However, according to Icebox's potential new mini-map blueprint revealed by s3rius2k1, there might be seven potential changes being made to the currently unavailable map.
A-Site Box
There is a box present within the A site on Icebox. According to the speculated changes, this box will be rotated slightly at the same position, moving from a right-angled to a diagonal position.
Along with this, the rafter will also be cut short right toward the end, allowing players to drop down from an additional position.
A-Site Attacker Entry
There is a position on the right side of A Nest from the attacking side where players like to hold and catch advancing defenders by surprise. A box might be getting added below this point which could be possibly be used to climb up or even silently jump down.
Mid
It will be tough to fight straight down mid on Icebox if this change is true because there seem to be two huge boxes added in mid covering a good portion of the area.
B-Site Fence
Another significant change is going to be the middle open portion on the B site which many players use to scout for player movement. As per the alleged changes, it is going to be converted into a proper path, a short tunnel, leading to all sorts of new tactics.
B-Site
Right at the point from where the B site starts on Icebox a small box will be added to provide a bit of versatility to both attackers and defenders. At this point in time it is not known if the box is bangable or not.
Apart from these five potential changes that have been spotted there seem to be two more changes, A Screen and B Tube, these are visible on the mini-map provided above but no solid photos have surfaced till now.
