2021 LCS Championship To Be Held On 28th-29th August, Will Have Live Audience
North America (NA) League of Legends fans will finally be able to watch their favorite teams live after over a year of online-only matches. Riot Games announced that the 2021 LCS Championship will be held on 28th-29th Aug 2021 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Fans can buy tickets for the LCS Championship finals via this link. There is an option to buy a 2-day bundle for finals or separate tickets for the individual days. The LCS 2021 Summer Season is currently in Week 6 with 100 Thieves leading the scoreboards, followed by TSM. Top eigh teams from the Summer Season will participate in the LCS Championship.
The Championship will officially start on 7th Aug 2021 with the top eight teams playing in a best-of-five, double-elimination bracket format. It will conclude with the top two teams facing off in a best-of-five finals of the summer season. The lower bracket final, which will decide the third and fourth position, will happen on 28th August, followed by the grand finals on 29th Aug 2021. The winner will receive the coveted LCS trophy and a chance to represent North America at the 2021 World Championship in China.
Riot Games has mentioned that it encourages all guests to make plans for vaccination before attending the LCS Championship Finals at Prudential Center. However, proof of vaccination will not be required for entry. According to the official LCS Championship FAQs, by entering the venue, fans are agreeing to follow all health and safety protocols and acknowledge that they are not suffering any symptoms and have not been placed under quarantine.
The LCS will be hosting a fan fest, starting before the matches on both days at Championship Plaza adjacent to Prudential Center. The fan fest will feature pro-team activations, giveaways, merchandise for purchase, concessions, and more.
