Here's all you need to know about the map and its POIs.

Activision treated Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 players by giving them a proper look at the new map on 31st January. The new Ashika Island map will have both DMZ mode and the returning Resurgence mode. Players were surprised when Warzone 1 returned as Warzone Caldera as they noticed the Resurgence mode and its respective maps had been removed. Notably, Ashika Island is the new free-to-play Call of Duty Warzone 2 small map that will be rolled out very soon. The teaser posted by Activision showed the map in all its glory and also highlighted the many points of interest.

Notably, the Resurgence mode allows players to drop into a map and loot up to kill enemies. The Resurgence mode is a twist on the battle royale formula where players can respawn and join the battle provided their teammates survive the Resurgence countdown. Players should note that the countdown increases in length every time a player dies.

Here’s all you need to know about Ashika Island in Warzone 2.0.

Ashika Island: Points of Interest

Ashika Island was developed by High Moon Studios, the same developer that came up with Fortune’s Keep. This map is notably set in a fictional Japanese location and it includes the Castle point of interest (POI) inspired by the Modern Warfare 2 map Castle. Ashika Island is a sight for sore eyes with its numerous cherry blossom trees, cloudy skies, and a castle at the heart of it.

Here are all the POIs:

  • Tsuki Castle

  • Oganikku Farms

  • Residential

  • Shipwreck

  • Port Ashika

  • Beach Club

  • Town Center

The Call of Duty twitter handle shared images of most of the POIs along with a haiku describing the place. About the Beach Club, Call of Duty wrote, “Not a vacation / Don't let cabanas deceive / Grab sand, take cover.

Likewise, the developers wrote, “Infiltrate quickly/ Past the tower’s defenders/ Reach the hidden space,” about Tsuki Castle. These descriptions are most likely the gameplay experiences that players will have in that particular location.

Ashika Island: Release Date

Activision revealed that the new Warzone 2 Resurgence mode map - Ashika Island will release on 15th February. The map was initially teased on 30th January by the developer, and the following day, the official tac map was revealed to the players. More information about the map and season two of Warzone 2.0 is expected to be revealed on 8th February via an official blog post.
