Valorant Episode 7 Act 2 is just around the corner and there are a plethora of changes waiting to be rolled out. Riot Games is rotating out Pearl and Fracture and is bringing back Breeze. This Act will also see the release of the new Los Angeles-inspired map called Sunset. With every new Act, Riot Games usually treats the player base to a new cosmetic line and it seems like the pattern is likely to continue.
In the last few weeks, there had been talks of a "water dragon-themed" skinline in Valorant and Riot Games confirmed the release of this new dragon-themed cosmetic collection called Imperium.
Here's all we know about the Imperium collection in Valorant so far.
Imperium Skinline Valorant: All we know so far
On 27th August, Riot Games wrote, "Experience Imperium. Four ancient dragon kings drawn into jade and gold–reawakened in your hands."
The Imperium skins will have four variants and they are as follows:
Jade and Gold (Base skin)
Red or Ruby
White or Pearl
Black or Obsidian
The melee has two levels with custom models, animations, and visual and audio effects that you can unlock, one being a one-handed fist blade and the other being a dual-handed fist blade.
The other gun skins have four levels. They are as follows:
Level 1: Custom base model for the gun.
Level 2: Unique shooting sounds and muzzle flash visual effects (VFX)
Level 3: Custom VFX and audio effects for equip, reload, and inspect
animations.
Level 4: Custom Kill Banner and Finisher with huge dragons.
Notably, the Imperium bundle costs 8,700 Valorant Points (VP) which includes four gun skins (Vandal, Judge, Operator, Sheriff) and one melee weapon (Blades of Imperium), two gun buddies, a player card, and a static spray.
This will be an exclusive cosmetic bundle and here are the individual prices for the skins featured in the bundle:
Blades of Imperium (Melee): 4,350 VP
Vandal: 2,175 VP
Sheriff: 2,175 VP
Judge: 2,175 VP
Operator: 2,175 VP
Talking about the Imperium skins, Senior Game Producer Jean Luc Tin Sive said, "The skinline was themed around East Asian weaponry and armor, with the dragon as a central element. We felt the fantasy was strong and that it deserved to be pushed further to bring out its full potential."
Notably, Art Direction Senior Manager Kerwin Atienza noted that the developers were inspired by the dragons of the East and jewel materials. The goal was also to make the weapons feel like they were treasures filled with magic. Atienza noted that the variants were heavily inspired by Chinese mythology with each variant representing different dragon kings.
The Imperium bundle will be available for purchase in the Valorant store with the roll out of Valorant Episode 7 Act 2 on 29th August.
