2022 is almost over and we’ve already had so many replays this year. Let’s be honest, our social media have been flooded with recaps of our friends’ Spotify histories, Apple Music reports, and surprisingly, Twitch. The streaming platform also released its recap for 2022 and took us gamers on a journey through our viewing history. Now, Steam has joined the bandwagon and introduced Steam Replay 2022. On 26th December, Steam wrote, “We're thrilled to announce Steam Replay, coming directly to all Steam users beginning today! Whether this was your best year yet or one you’d sooner forget, playing games was (hopefully!) a reliably fun escape. To celebrate, we’re introducing Steam Replay!”

Steam Replay is a way to recap your most-played games of 2022 and check out some of the other stats and achievements you’ve managed to pull off this year. Here’s how you get your Steam Replay for 2022.

How to Get Steam Replay 2022

Steam Replay 2022 is the latest recap to join the long list and Steam lets players see their top games this year, to how and when they spent most of their playtime. Here’s how you check your Steam Replay for 2022.

When we say you can get your Steam stats with the click of a button, we are not lying. All you have to do is follow these simple steps:

• Log into Steam

• Go to the Steam Replay page

• Click to see your recap

You can choose to make these stats public and you can also share these with your friends on social media platforms.

What stats does Steam Replay 2022 have?

The following are the stats that Steam lets players see:

• Total number of games played in 2022 and number of new games explored

• Most played games and their playtime share 

• Number of achievements unlocked

• The longest streak of playing games on Steam

When you click on a particular game, you will also see a monthly breakdown of your playtime in that particular game along with achievements unlocked.

Steam Replay also compares your stats with the average of the Steam community. Some of the comparisons you can view are:

• New Releases: The percentage of games you played that were new releases vs Steam's average

• Recent Favorites: The percentage of games you played that were released in the last 1-7 years vs Steam’s average

• Classic Games: The percentage of games you played that were released 8 or more years ago vs Steam’s average

Additionally, Steam also has a spider graph that shows the kinds of games you spent the most time in 2022 under the ‘You are what you play’ category.
