Set 9 TFT Lux: Best Build & Comps

There has been a revived sense of interest in Teamfight Tactics (TFT) ever since the launch of Runeterra Reforged. A lot of players have been dedicatedly queueing up for the game mode and have been having fun while at it. Runeterra Reforged is Riot Games’ most comprehensive set to date filled with new mechanics, and scattered with displaced champions and traits from across Runeterra. One of the favorite traits that players opt for often in this Set 9 is the Sorcerers and Lux is one of the most powerful sorcerers there is. Getting your hands on the Lux will completely change your game. With Lux, you can also choose to go the Demacian route.

TFT Lux Build & Comps in Set 9 Runeterra Reforged

Before getting into the appropriate items and compositions for your Lux, here are her statistics:

• Health: 750 / 1350 / 2430 (1 Star/ 2 Star/ 3 Star)

• Mana: 40

• Armor: 30

• Magic Resist: 30

• Ability Power: 100

• Damage per second: 31 / 57 / 102

• Damage: 45 / 81 / 146

• Attack Speed: 0.7

• Crit Rate: 25%

• Range: 4

Lux costs 4 gold and is an A-tier champion in this Set 9 of TFT Runeterra Reforged. She falls under the Demacia trait and Sorcerer class and therefore, the units that fall under these two labels have good synergy with Lux naturally.

You should also know that Lux’s Active ability in TFT is Torrent of Light. Every time Lux builds up to 40 mana, she channels the active ability. 

Torrent of Light: Channel a barrage of light at the current target that deals magic damage over time, reducing their Magic Resistance every second. If they die, shift to a new target.

In Set 9 TFT, when Sorcerers help kill an enemy, they trigger an arcane shock that deals a percent of the enemy's maximum health to other enemies. Sorcerers also gain bonus Ability Power.

Your stats improve when you field two, four, six, or eight sorcerers on the board.

• 6 Sorcerers: 75 Ability Power; shock 2 enemies for 15% Health

Demacia (Origin)

If your sight is set on building Demacian units, you should aim for fielding nine Demacian units for the maximum use of the trait. 

In this trait, during the planning phase, your strongest Demacians become Elite and equip a random Radiant item for the next combat. Elites grant Armor and Magic Resist to themselves and adjacent allies, but this does not stack. Radiant items are upgraded versions of completed items.

Recommended Items for Lux in Set 9 Runeterra Reforged

Lux is a unit that does magic damage over time and her damage depends on mana that she accumulates during the battle. Hence, it makes sense to prioritize Tear items and also other magic damage or ability power items. So the recommended items for Lux are as follows:

• Blue Buff

• Giant Slayer

• Jeweled Gauntlet

For both the Sorcerer build and the Demacian build you will need to seek a Golden Spatula from the carousel rounds. If you combine the Spatula with another item component, it can be used to shape and form your team composition.
