This year the Summer Games will be taking place from 11th to 24th July as part of the ongoing Season 5 of Overwatch 2. The schedule was released earlier this month with the launch of the latest battlepass.

One of the most famous game modes associated with the Summer Games 2023 is Lucioball, which has been very popular with community members since its very first appearance. It will be making a return again this year along with a new game mode called Winston's Beach Volleyball.
In Lucioball all the players basically play as Lucio and partake in a game of football, where the objective is to score a goal by pushing the ball into the goalpost of the other team.
While the gameplay of Winston's Beach Volleyball is not known till now it seems the game will be similar to the other title, where all the players might play Beach Volleyball as WInston.

The developers have confirmed that the tropical-themed Doomfist Skin will be available for free, but players will be required to complete certain missions across the Summer Games 2023 in order to acquire it.
Apart from this, players will also be able to purchase a Lifeguard Mercy skin from the Overwatch 2 shop during the course of this event.
As promotion leading up to the Summer Games, multiple themed skins like Track-Field Tracer and Sprinkle Mei have already been given away for free to all Overwatch 2 players via the in-game shop.
