Highlights
There are a total of 21 agents in Valorant at this point in time with another arriving in Episode 7.
Every agent has its own set of abilities and their cost, damage, cooldown, and other factors vary by quite the margin.
Based on the total ability cost of every agent here are the most and least expensive Valorant agents in the game.

Valorant offers various types of agents to choose from depending on your playstyle or the team's needs if you are actually bothered about team play. Every agent has a different set of abilities that acts as their tool kit and helps them play a certain role for the side.

However, these abilities are not free, well not all of them. Each agent has a free ability also called signature ability which is free to use, while other basic abilities need to be purchased separately, and as for the ultimate ability it simply needs to be farmed.

Based on the overall kits of each and every Valorant agent, here is the total ability cost through which we will determine the most and least expensive character to play in the game.

Total ability cost of every Valorant agent: Which is the most and least expensive character?

There are a total of 21 agents in Valorant, at the time of writing this article, with another on its way somewhere along the upcoming Episode 7. These agents are divided into four types which are controller, sentinel, initiator, and duelist.

Each one of them has a unique set of abilities which makes it a fun experience for players to try out each of them. However, managing the economy might be a challenge and depends on a lot of factors.

  • How much do the abilities cost?

  • How many abilities is a particular agent using every round?

  • How frequently are those abilities being purchased?

  • How important are those abilities?

While all these factors do play a role when discussing the most and least expensive Valorant agent in the game. We have taken a bare look at only the ability cost and arranged all characters in descending order of the total price of their ability loadout.

Which is the most expensive Valorant agent to play?

The most expensive agent in Valorant is Chamber with two basic abilities, Trademark (C) and Headhunter (Q), the former costing 200 Credits and the latter costing 150 Credits per bullet.

As there are eight bullets the total loadout cost with all abilities being purchased goes up to a total of 1400 Credits. This effectively makes Chamber the most expensive Valorant agent out of the 21 available in the game.

Chamber - Most Expensive Valorant Agent

Which is the least expensive Valorant agent to play?

The least expensive agent in Valorant is Astra with three basic abilities, Gravity Well (C), Nova Pulse (Q), and Nebula/Dissipate (E), all of them do not cost a single dime.

For this agent, its signature ability Stars need to be bought. As a maximum of three can be purchased it costs only 450 Creds to buy everything possible for Astra. This makes Astra the least expensive Valorant agent out of the 21 available in the game.

Astra - Least Expensive Valorant Agent

This is just one way to look at which are the most and least expensive Valorant agents in the game. However, this might change if more factors like the ones listed above are taken into consideration, simply because Chamber's Headhunter is not used in most rounds while almost all of Astra's Stars are consumed in every single round, making her more expensive in the grand scheme of things.
