Minecraft’s Spongebob Squarepants DLC (downloadable content), which was released in 2022, has received a massive update with new quests, interiors, character customization, a mini-game and more. Players also get access to a free Patrick t-shirt when they access the DLC. The new content update is available for free to all existing Spongebob DLC owners and if you do not have the DLC, you can purchase it for around $7.99 USD.
What’s new in the Spongebob Squarepants DLC update in Minecraft
There are two new quests available in the DLC that you can take on. First, we have the Cannons Overboard quest that lets you experience the infamous Flying Dutchman. It is a parkour-based quest where you have to retrieve the ship’s cannons so it can continue its voyage once again. The other story quest in the new DLC is The Recipe For Success. You have to assist Pearl with making pizzas and delivering them to the residents of Bikini Bottom before the food gets cold.
The DLC also added brand new vehicles for the Rock Bottom Racing activity and you also get to experience locations like the Jellyfish Fields, Goo Lagoon and more from the Spongebob Squarepants animated series.
How to purchase the Spongebob Squarepants DLC in Minecraft
If you already purchased the DLC when it first came out, you do not need to make any purchases to access the new content. If you did not have the DLC, here’s what you need to do:
Head to the DLC page
Click on Get This Item
Login to your Minecraft account on the website
Make the purchase with 1,340 MineCoins or $7.99 USD
Launch Minecraft
You will now have access to the DLC. You experience the DLC content by selecting the Spongebob menu from the DLC hub after launching the game. Make sure you redeem the free Patrick t-shirt from the character creator after purchasing the DLC.
