Here’s everything you need to know about kill streaks in League of Legends.

Just like any other game, a kill in League of Legends is when you reduce the hit point (HP) of the enemy champion to 0, causing them to enter the death state on Summoner’s Rift. Once a player is dead in the game, they will see a timer denoting their respawn time. Kill streaks differ from game to game but in principle, a kill streak is when a champion gets consecutive kills without dying. In League of Legends, when you get a number of consecutive kills without dying, the announcer will give it a specific designation.

If you are new to League of Legends, the last player to strike the target champion is awarded the kill, and all contributors within the last 10 seconds of the kill are given an assist. Here’s everything you need to know about kill streaks in League of Legends.

What are the kill streaks in League of Legends?

If you are new to League of Legends but have played Valorant, you must be familiar with the term ‘Ace’ from the announcer. While in Valorant, an ace means that someone killed all five members of the opponent team. However, in League of Legends, an ace is called when the last standing player of the enemy team is dead.

When you play League of Legends, you will hear the announcer say different terms for consecutive kills and kill streaks. The following is a glossary of the kill streaks in the game:

Killing Spree: To go on a killing spree, a player has to get three champion kills in a row without dying in between and there is no time constraint.

Rampage: When you get four consecutive kills without dying, the announcer will say ‘Rampage.’

Unstoppable: To get ‘Unstoppable’ in the game, you have to get five champion kills in a row without dying in between (no time constraint).

Dominating: The announcer calls Dominating when one gets six champion kills in a row without dying in between (no time constraint).

Godlike: In League of Legends, when you get seven kills in a row without dying even once, you are called Godlike (no time constraint).

Legendary: When you get eight or more kills consecutively in the game without dying, the announcer will say “Legendary.

Players should note that when you get consecutive kills in quick succession (within a few seconds), you will get multi-kill announcements including double, triple, quadra, and pentakill. However, if there is a longer time gap between your third kill and the fourth kill, your multi-kill will reset in-game.
