Fortnite Festival made its way into the game on 9th December as part of the three-part update Epic Games announced right after the Big Bang Event. The Guitar-Hero-like mode has been a hit among fans and maintained more than 200,000 players since its release.
The brand-new mode introduces a rhythm mode, allowing players to play different songs, including ones composed by Epic Games and other famous artists, such as The Weeknd, Kendrick Lamar, Billie Eilish, and many more. However, there’s one band that has caught everyone’s attention: Weezer.
Fortnite Festival brings “Molly Buddy” by Weezer as one of the setlist songs, but that leaves many fans wondering, is Weezer coming to Fortnite again?

Fortnite Festival: What is It?
Fortnite Festival is not just another addition to Fortnite’s vast universe; it’s a brand-new groundbreaking experience where players can immerse themselves in the roles of musicians who play instruments like guitar, vocals, drums, and bass.
The most exciting thing about ‘Festival’ is the collaboration with a lineup of legendary artists. Players can play to beats of Lady Gaya’s ‘Pokerface,’ embrace the rhythms of Toto’s “Africa,” and energize with Imagine Dragons’ “Thunder” or rock to “Buddy Holly” by Weezer.
These iconic tracks, packed with Fortnite’s own music Packs, create a diverse and electrifying in-game atmosphere for all players.
Fortnite Festival: Is Weezer Coming?
In 2019, Fortnite collaborated with Weezer for their self-titled album known as “The Black Album,” where they dropped songs in the Weezer-themed Island on Fortnite. The event was a massive success for both the game and the band.
Unfortunately, it doesn't look like we’re going to see Weezer coming to Fortnite again. Although the band’s “Buddy Holly” is featured in the Festival setlist, there’s no word if we’re going to see the band perform in the game again or get their own Festival Pass feature like The Weeknd.
There’s a chance that we might see Weezer eventually in the game again, as Fortnite Festival will come with more seasons with distinct battle passes featuring new artists in the future. The current Fortnite Festival pass ends on 22nd February 2024.
