Is Street Fighter 6 on Xbox Game Pass?

Street Fighter 6 is the latest offering from Japanese developer and publisher Capcom. The game will offer players a unique online experience along with old staples like crossplay on platforms like Xbox and PlayStation. This raises the question for many fans if Street Fighter 6 is on Xbox Game Pass or not. Let’s look at the platforms Street Fighter will be available on. 

Can you play Street Fighter 6 on Xbox Game Pass?

The Game Pass offers games from several publishers including Capcom. Among franchises like Devil May Cry and Resident Evil, the Xbox Game Pass does not offer Street Fighter titles like Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection and Street Fighter 4 or 5. You will not be able to play Street Fighter 6 on Xbox Game Pass on release day.

However, PC players will be able to buy and play Street Fighter 6 on Steam. You can also currently access the demo version and Open Beta for the game on Steam. The open beta for SF6 went live on 19th May at midnight PDT and will last till 21st May 2023. You can take part in the open beta, you must register a CAPCOM ID and link your platform.

Street Fighter 6 crossplay platforms

While Street Fighter 4 did not offer crossplay, Street Fighter 5 and Street Fighter 6 have crossplay available across game modes. Capcom confirmed that their newest Street Fighter would have cross-platform play in their closed beta announcement. 

Crossplay will be available across online modes for Street Fighter 6 including for the Battle Hub, Fighting Grounds and more. The second closed beta for Street Fighter 6 was conducted in December last year and crossplay was available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Unfortunately, while the closed beta was not available for the PlayStation 4, when the game releases it will be available for the console. It is still unknown if crossplay is enabled by default or if players can tweak those settings. Also, Capcom is yet to comment on how it plans to balance the competitive modes like ranked with crossplay enabled. 

Street FIghter 6 will release on 2nd June 2023. Pre-orders for the game are currently available. The game will be available on Steam, Playstation 4 and 5 as well as Xbox Series X|S.  Fans who pre order will get a bonus which includes outfit variations for Chun-Li, Jamie, Manon, Dee Jay, Juri, and Ken.
