How to Register for Street Fighter 6 Open Beta

Street Fighter 6 is finally launching its open beta, after announcing the game way back in February 2022. The new entry in the Street Fighter franchise has gone through two closed beta tests till now across platforms. Now Capcom is deciding to bring the game into open beta, much to fans’ delight. Let’s look at how to register for Street Fighter 6 Open Beta and its new features. 

Capcom to launch Street Fighter 6 Open Beta soon

Street Fighter 6 has gone through two closed beta tests, which took place in October and December of 2022. The open beta test for the game will start on 19th May at 12 am PDT / 12:30 pm IST / 3 pm SGT and ends on 22nd May at 12 am PDT / 12:30 pm IST / 3 pm SGT. SF6 includes crossplay and will be available for the PC, PlayStation and Xbox. 

How to register for Street Fighter 6 open beta 

Here is how to get into the Street Fighter 6 open beta:

• Navigate to the Street Fighter website by clicking here.

• Scroll down to find the ‘Register a Capcom ID’ button or link your platform to login.

• You will be redirected to the Capcom website. 

• Create an ID here or login using your existing ID. 

• Link to your Steam, Xbox, or PlayStation accounts by clicking the button and following the instructions.

Once you’ve finished these steps, you’ll be ready to pre-download the open beta. You will be able to start the pre-download on 16th May. After signing up, you will receive confirmation that you have applied to the Street Fighter 6 open beta.

Street Fighter 6 beta updates

The developer has stated that the open beta “will feature the same content as the closed beta test conducted in December 2022”. Some of the bigger changes coming to the open beta will be the option to reduce input delay. Other updates include balance changes to the eight playable characters and bug fixes. The beta tests come with a limited number of playable characters including:

• Chun-Li

• Guile

• Kimberly

• Juri

• Ken 

The playable stages include:

• Metro City Downtown

• Genbu Temple

• Carrier Byron Taylor

• Tian Hong Yuan

• The Macho Ring

• Training Room

The game modes included in the tests are Ranked Matches, Casual Matches, Battle Hub Matches, Open Tournaments, Training Mode, Extreme Battles (updates daily), Game Center (updates daily) and Challenges (updates daily). Street FIghter 6 will release on 2nd June 2023. Pre-orders for the game are currently available. The game will be available on Steam, Playstation 4 and 5 as well as Xbox Series X|S.
