Update: Riot Games talks about more skins coming to League PC from Wild Rift

In the latest developer update, Riot Games provided a timeline for the porting of the Wild Rift exclusive skins to League of Legends PC. It said it is aiming to bring the first batch of Wild Rift skins to League PC in July but stressed that this tentative timeline could change.

In addition to the Star Guardian Seraphine and Redeemed Xayah and Rakan, Riot Games is also porting:

  • Star Guardian Senna

  • Star Guardian Orianna

The first skins to make it to League of Legends PC will be the three Star Guardian skins, confirmed Riot Games. It added that Redeemed Star Guardian Xayah and Rakan will follow later this year.

League of Legends players have always been vocal about Wild Rift, pointing out how the game runs on a completely different engine and also has a number of exclusive skins. After years of League of Legends PC players asking for some of the Wild Rift skins to be made available for them, Riot Games is finally acknowledging this plea. The game publisher confirmed in its latest developer [dev] blog that some of the Wild Rift skins will be making their way onto the PC game. Riot Games developers Jeremy “Brightmoon” Lee and Andrei “Meddler” van Roon addressed this and talked about Riot’s plans for the future of skins in League of Legends.

Here’s all we know about Wild Rift skins making their way onto PC.

In the dev blog and the video follow-up, Meddler said, “Something else we also wanted to talk about was moving some skins and splash art from Wild Rift to League of Legends PC. We think there’s a lot of cool stuff and a lot of opportunity there. We are going to start by looking at porting over some of the most commonly requested skins.

Initially, Riot Games has planned to port over the following skins from Wild Rift to League PC:

  • Star Guardian Seraphine

  • Redeemed Xayah and Rakan

Riot Meddler added, “And hopefully more in the future, depending on how those go.” He also noted that the two games are pretty different under the hood and that Riot Games does not have a complete handle on exactly what will be needed to port over these skins. As a result, the company currently does not have a concrete timeline or release dates for these exclusive Wild Rift skins on League of Legends PC.

Talking about champions’ splash art, the developer said they are working on updating the older splash art in the game and in some cases, porting over Wild Rift’s splashes. In other cases, the developers will do new ones inspired by Wild Rift’s splashes.

Wild Rift skins and splash arts are not the only updates that Riot Games gave its players. The company is giving two of League of Legends' oldest champions an Art and Sustainability Update (ASU).  It said, “We’re trying to do ASUs faster and are working on Lee Sin and Teemo.
