How to Remake a League of Legends Game in 1 minute 30 seconds

Riot Games released a preview for League of Legends Patch 12.20 which includes buffs and nerfs to champions and a number of items, and brings with it some quality of life changes as well. The developer is adding a much requested feature in patch 12.20 where players will be able to remake a League of Legends game in 1 minute 30 seconds.

Remake a League game in 1 minute 30 seconds

Players going AFK (away from keyboard) has been a huge problem in League of Legends. Until now players had the option to remake games at 3:00 minutes if a team mate disconnects or is flagged as inactive for 90 seconds. Riot Games has decided to shorten the time before players can initiate a remake. Players can vote to start a remake at 1 minute and 30 seconds. The game will prompt you to start a remake after which you can type “/remake” in chat to start the vote. Once the vote begins, you have 30 seconds to vote yes or no. In a 4v5, at least two players (30% of the team) need to vote yes for the game to end. In a 3v5 or lower, you only need one player to make that call. If atleast two other team mates vote yes in a 4v5, the match will end.

How does a remake affect my MMR?

Only AFK players will receive a penalty for the game. The rest of the players will neither gain nor lose LP or XP. Your Blue Essence will also not change and you will not see the match recorded as a win or loss. A remake will not affect the MMR of any of the players, including the AFK players. However, note that If the AFK player is part of a premade group, the entire group will receive the same penalties by LeaveBuster. In this case, you may have to wait up to 25 minutes to join the queue. This feature is available for Summoner’s Rift and Howling Abyss games. Riot is implementing the 1 minute 30 second remake with Patch 12.20, dropping on 19th October.
