How to Complete the Capturing Outposts Quest in Escape From Tarkov (2023)

With the new wipe, Battlestate Games changed the Capturing Outposts quests, making it no longer a must for securing the Kappa Container in Escape from Tarkov. The community has had a good reaction to this change with players lauding Battlestate Games. If you are unaware, the Capturing Outposts Quest is an elimination-type task in the game where the players are expected to make a number of kills in certain locations. Notably, trader Pavel Yegorovich Romanenko also known by his alias ‘Prapor’ issues this quest. Once you finish Punisher - Part 6, you are eligible to take up this Prapor quest.

Capturing Outposts Quest in Escape from Tarkov Explained

When you take up the Capturing Outpost quest, Prapor tells you that he was informed about how the PMCs have captured several Scav bases in the region and that there are tons of goods there. “Can you help the old soldier? Kill those PMCs so that my dogs could grab the loot without any issues. There are three bases in total: the big fortified building on the construction site on Customs, the former EMERCOM medical unit on Woods, and the river pier on Shoreline. Clear the places out and let me know when it's done,” adds the trader.

Players must be at least Level 42 to start this Elimination task. So in short, the objectives for this one are:

• Eliminate eight PMC operatives at the Scav base on Customs

• Eliminate eight PMC operatives at the Scav base on Woods

• Eliminate eight PMC operatives at the pier on Shoreline

Note that any kill that happens outside the Scav bases (or the marked area in the above-seen images) does not count toward this quest. So, make sure that the PMCs are in the marked areas for the kills to count towards the objective.

The rewards for finishing the quest are as follows:

• +69,999 EXP

• +1.5 Throwables skill levels

• 1× ASh-12 12.7x55 assault rifle

• 1× RFARMY armband
