How to Complete 'Out Of Curiosity Quest' in Escape From Tarkov

The Out of Curiosity Quest in Escape from Tarkov is a pick-up task given by trader Elvira Khabibullina also known by her alias Therapist. Completing Trader Skier’s Chemical Part 3 quest will unlock this quest for you alongside Chemical Part 4 and Big Customer. This Therapist quest takes place on Customs, the second map added to the game. This is a multiple-choice quest; once you mark the van, you can complete the quest with either Prapor, Therapist, or Skier, and your rewards will vary accordingly.

Out of Curiosity Quest Guide

Firstly, before getting into the nitty-gritty of the Out of Curiosity quest, let us see what the alternative quests are:

• Chemical Part 4 - Skier

• Big Customer - Prapor

Note that the above-mentioned quests and the Therapist task all have the same objectives and the player just has to decide with whom they are teaming up to finish it. 

During the Out of Curiosity Quest, Therapist says, “Young man, I cannot stand aside on this one. I'm aware that you are now working with this so-called Skier. This disreputable man pursues completely lucrative interests and that is a matter of great concern to me. Especially all this story with secret experiments on a substance that you call the yellow chemical. The substance is extremely dangerous, and I have a major request for you.” 

She asks the player if they could give up the coordinates of the chemicals to her and that she is well aware of Skier. The Therapist also promises to pay well. “Again, this is all just for the sake of our people,” she adds. 

The quest objectives are as follows:

• Find the transport with the chemicals on Customs

• Mark the vehicle with an MS2000 Marker

• Survive and extract from Customs

You need to buy the MS2000 Marker from Prapor. Once you have placed the market on the van, you need to stay alive for 30 seconds or you will have to place another marker on the van, Note that you don’t have to be close to the van once you have placed the MS2000 Marker. All you need to do is find a good hiding spot and wait until the timer is complete. 

For this quest, you need to go to the warehouse near the big crane and enter it. Once you are in, you will notice a van with a pole sticking out of the front and this is the van you need to mark. 

Make sure to hand it over to the Therapist instead of Skier and Prapor.

When you fail to do the other two tasks, the penalties are as follows:

• Prapor Rep -0.25

• Skier Rep -0.25
