How to Complete Checking in Escape From Tarkov

The Checking quest in Escape From Tarkov is available to complete on the Customs map, the second location added to the game. The quest is given to you by Pavel Yegorovich Romanenko, known by his alias "Prapor". You need to be level 2 and above to do this quest and it is a requirement for obtaining Kappa Secure Containers. Here is all you need to know to complete the Checking quest in Escape from Tarkov.

Steps in completing Checking in Escape From Tarkov

• Obtain the Bronze pocket watch on a chain on Customs.

• (Optional) Obtain the key to the fuel tanker truck.

• Hand over the pocket watch.

Head into the Customs map and the first step is to look for the Machinery key. The Machinery key is located in room 205, on the second floor of the three-storey Dorms V-EX building, below the old gate road extraction point. Head over to the three-storey dorms and take the central entrance between the graffitied walls. Note that this is a known Reshala spawn so be careful when you search the dorms. 

Head up the central flight of stairs to the second floor and turn right.

Jump on top of the second bed, crouch and head inside the dorm room.

You’ll see two jackets on the right, search through the left jacket to obtain the Machinery key. Once you have the key, you’ll have to make your way towards the construction area, next to the Factory Shafts. You’ll see a truck with a red tanker near the tall factory chimneys.

Jump onto the box and unlock the truck door and you’ll find the bronze pocket watch needed to complete the quest right below the driver’s seat.

Once you complete all the objectives of the Checking quest, it is important to note that players must extract safely without being killed by enemy players or Scavs.
